I have engaged De zhin sheg pa me tog pl la chhag tshl lo in the five actions of immediate retribution and the five parallel actions De zhin sheg pa tshang pi zer nam par rl p ngn par khyen pa la of immediate retribution. I have transgressed the vows of individual chhag tshl lo liberation, contradicted the trainings of bodhisattvas, and broken the De zhin sheg pa p mi zer nam par rl p ngn par khyen pa la secret mantra commitments. I have been disrespectful to my parents, chhag tshl lo have been disrespectful to my spiritual masters and to my abbot, and have been disrespectful to my companions sharing pure behavior. I De zhin sheg pa nor pl la chhag tshl lo have committed actions harmful to the Three Jewels, abandoned the De zhin sheg pa drn pi pl la chhag tshl lo holy Dharma, criticized the arya Sangha, harmed sentient beings, and so De zhin sheg pa tshn pl shin tu yong drag la chhag tshl lo on. These and many other non-virtuous negative actions I have done, have caused others to do, and have rejoiced in others doing and so forth. De zhin sheg pa wang pi tog gi gyl tshn gyi gyl po la chhag tshl lo In the presence of the great guru Vajradhara, all the buddhas and De zhin sheg pa shin tu nam par nn pi pl la chhag tshl lo bodhisattvas who abide in the ten directions, and the venerable Sangha, De zhin sheg pa yl l shin tu nam par gyl wa la chhag tshl lo I admit this entire collection of faults and transgressions that are ob- De zhin sheg pa nam par nn p sheg pi pl la chhag tshl lo stacles to my own higher rebirth and liberation and are causes of cyclic existence and miserable lower rebirths. I promise to refrain from doing these actions De zhin sheg pa rin chhen p mi nam par nn pa la chag tsl lo again in the future. To continue with the confession prayer, turn to pp. 2829. 6 Bodhisattvas Confession of Moral Downfalls Bodhisattvas Confession of Moral Downfalls 11 Just as the previous buddha-bhagavans have fully dedicated, just as the future buddha-bhagavans will fully dedicate, and just as the presently abid- ing buddha-bhagavans are fully dedicating, like that I too dedicate fully. Prostrations to the Seven Medicine I confess all negativities individually. I rejoice in all the merits. I urge and Buddhas implore all buddhas to grant my request: may I receive the highest, most sublime transcendental wisdom. To the conquerors, the best of humans those who are living in the present time, those who have lived in the past, and those who will like- wise come to all those who have qualities as vast as an infinite ocean, with hands folded, I approach for refuge. In this life and in all the states of rebirth in which I have circled in samsara Dag gi kye wa di dang / kye wa tog mi tha ma ma chhi pa n khor wa throughout beginningless lives, whatever negative actions I have created, na khor wi kye n tham ch du dig pi l gyi pa dang / gyi du tsl wa made others create, or rejoiced in the creation of; whatever possessions of dang / gyi pa la je su yi rang pa am / chh ten gyi kor ram / ge dn gyi stupas, possessions of the Sangha, or possessions of the Sangha of the ten kor ram / chhog chi ge dn gyi kor throg pa dang / throg tu chug pa directions that I have appropriated, made others appropriate, or rejoiced dang / throg pa la je su yi rang pa am / tsham ma chhi pa ngi l gyi in the appropriation of; whichever among the five actions of immediate pa dang / gyi du tsl wa dang / gyi pa la je su yi rang pa am / mi ge wa chi (retribution) I have done, caused to be done, or rejoiced in the doing of; l kyi lam yang dag par lang wa la zhug pa dang / jug tu tsl wa dang / jug whichever paths of the ten non-virtuous actions I have engaged in, pa la je su yi rang pa am / L kyi drib pa gang gi drib n dag sem chn caused others to engage in, or rejoiced in the engaging in: whatever I nyl war chhi pa am / d dri kye n su chhi pa am / yi dvag kyi yl du have created, being obscured by these karmas causes me and sentient chhi pa am / yl tha khob tu kye pa am / la lor kye pa am / lha tshe beings to be born in the hell realms, in the animal realm, and in the preta ring po nam su kye pa am / wang po ma tshang war gyur pa am / ta wa realm; in irreligious countries, as barbarians, or as long-life gods; with log pa dzin par gyur pa am / sang gy jung wa la nye par mi gyi par imperfect faculties, holding wrong views, or not being pleased with gyur wi l kyi drib pa gang lag pa de dag tham ch sang gy chom dn Buddhas descent. In the presence of the buddha-bhagavans, who are d ye she su gyur pa / chn du gyur pa / pang du gyur pa / tsh mar transcendental wisdom, who are eyes, who are witnesses, who are valid, gyur pa / khyen p zig pa de dag gi chn ngar thl lo chhag so / mi and who see with omniscient consciousness, I am admitting and confess- chhab bo / mi be do / ln chh kyang ch ching dom par gyi lag so ing all these negativities, I will not conceal them nor hide them, and from now on in the future I will abstain and refrain from committing them again. Sang gy chom dn d de dag tham ch dag la gong su sl All buddha-bhagavans, please pay attention to me. In this life and in all other states of rebirth in which I have circled in samsara throughout Dag gi kye wa di dang / kye wa thog mi tha ma ma chhi pa n khor beginningless lives, whatever roots of virtue I have created by generos- wa na khor wi kye n zhn dag tu jin pa tha na d dri kye n su kye ity, even as little as giving just one mouthful of food to a being born in the pa la z kham chig tsam tsl wi ge wi tsa wa gang lag pa dang / dag gi animal realm; whatever roots of virtue I have created by guarding moral- tshl thrim sung pi ge wi tsa wa gang lag pa dang / dag gi tshang par ity; whatever roots of virtue I have created by following pure conduct; ch pi ge wi tsa wa gang lag pa dang / dag gi sem chn yong su min whatever roots of virtue I have created by fully ripening sentient beings; par gyi pi ge wi tsa wa gang lag pa dang / dag gi jang chhub chhog tu whatever roots of virtue I have created by generating bodhichitta; and sem kye pi ge wi tsa wa gang lag pa dang / dag gi la na me pi ye she whatever roots of virtue I have created by my unsurpassed transcendental kyi ge wi tsa wa gang lag pa de dag tham ch chig tu d shing dum te wisdom: all these assembled and gathered, combined together, I fully dedi- dom n la na ma chhi pa dang / gong na ma chhi pa dang / gong mi cate to the unsurpassed, the unexcelled, that higher than the high, that yang gong ma / la mi yang la mar yong su ngo w la na me pa yang superior to the superior. Thus, I completely dedicate to the highest, per- dag par dzog pi jang chhub tu yong su ngo war gyi o fectly complete enlightenment.
