GROUTING SPECIFICATION:

The purpose of the grouting between steel structure and reinforcement concrete
construction is:

- to guarantee that they are installed to line and level

- to guarantee the full faced and adhesion connection between the steel
structure and the reinforcement concrete construction
- to guarantee that they cannot be attacked by corrosive agents
- to guarantee that they will not be loosened by the operation of machineries on
a long term basis

In order to achieve these goals the following work method statements should be
complied with:

- Connection area between steel and concrete structure must be keep out of dirt
and grease etc.
- The concrete surface is to be roughening as far as technically possible and
reasonable.
- All concrete connection elements must be soaked (minimum one full day) with
water without creating stagnant water.
- After grouting/concreting, curing shall be done in accordance with local
requirements (such as protection against wind, heavy rain or heat, frost, etc.)

The following grout end product properties are necessary:

- Non-shrink, pourable, pumpable, insensible against cracks (epoxy based),

high resistance against chemical attacks, non containing chlorides, good
gripping between concrete- and steel structure.

The application of the embed grout depends on the high of the grout and the
instruction of the manufacturer:

- 5 mm < X mm < 30 mm: (e.g. Vergusit V01/70)

- 30 mm < X mm < 50 mm: (e.g. Vergusit V04/70)
- 50 mm < X mm < 100 mm: (e.g. Vergusit V08/70), extra reinforcement to fit in
