Dear Immacule,
It has been months since I have seen you last. Weeks after you went to the Pastors house, I went
to stay with my good friend Bonn who kept me safe for a while. He gave me food and hid me
under his bed against his parents wishes, which was truly in the hands of God. Unfortunately,
Buhoro, his uncle, knew he was hiding me, so I had to leave before the Hutu extremists got to
me. I knew that going out onto the bloody roads would give me no chance of survival, but I had
to try to get to Lake Kivu if I wanted an attempt at living. I know that God has been with me, and
soon enough, He will bring me home to Him. Throughout all of this tragedy, I am glad to say that
Aimable is in another country because God has sent him there so you have someone for you
when this crucial war has ended. I am so sorry that it can not be me who is there waiting for you,
but I will continue to pray and watch over you. Father was shot in Kibuye town, mother was
chopped and buried, Vianney and Augustine were shot in Kibuye stadium, and I know you are
still out there and alive. Stay strong and never give in to temptation. You are bright and will
become more successful than you believe with the power of God. Your strength, faith, and hope
has gotten you through this tragedy in our world so far and it will continue to. I can not wait until
I get to see you again, but I am afraid that it will not be in this lifetime but at the gates of heaven.
I will be watching over you until we meet again. I love you always Immacule, and never lose
your faith because God will be there with you every step of the way.
