Summary of the Event (at least 3 major points; each point will have its own paragraph)

In a meeting of five people, at the end four candidates shook hand while the fifth

candidate was looking at his notes on the other side. The purpose of this debate was to create a

meeting that represented parties that are left in the campaign, some of which could be part of a

government after the May 7th vote. Nigel Farage(leader of the UK Independence Party) spent an

hour and a half talking about his views on immigration and European Union. Now he is trying to

clear of post-debate pleasantries. At the end he shares one important trait with two of the leader's
in the group that the British politics is down to the re-emergence of nationalism on the electoral

scenes in the UK.

The New Nationalist:

Plaid Cymru and the Scottish National Party are pushing their small countries to be in the

general election. The movements represented by Nicola Sturgeon(SNP) and Leanne Wood(Plaid)

do not equal a greater independence with the withdrawal of Europe and other organizations,

though. Instead of that, there has been a popularized by the building on what they see as positive

images of nationhood and people. Wales and Scotland want to win the influence of the central

British Government which has looked at their needs a long time ago. The part that won the

European election in 2014 are promising to break the EU from the inside. But, the more

established parties have not been able to formulate their own responses.

After The Crisis:

While Europe is continues to struggle to emerge from the global economic crisis, the

support will increase across the continent to the UK Independence Party(UKIP). Greece and

Spain, two of the countries who are most damaged by the crisis have failed to gain much ground

in the aftermath of the global financial crisis. The more liberal form of the nationalism has

gathered momentum as the crisis took its toll on Europes love affairs with globalized politics. In

one of the most ironic example of this trend is that the European Parliament now has almost a

third of nationalist and eurosceptic members. These politicians who represent their people wants

to destroy the organization . Other parties founded on a hard euroskeptic platform such as UK

Independence Party(UKIP) and the Alternative for Germany have moved closer to the border

because of the immigration problem and the control over the border.
Immigration:

There are so many concerns about the immigration. This has simplified to a very

complicated issue because politicians claim the voters want them to focus on immigration. With

this crisis looming and ambitious and urgent action needed on the issues like immigration and

global warming. As collective international action has become unavoidable, it is crucial for

europe to regain a sense of unity and purpose.

Your Opinion of the Event (at least 3 sentences).

I think that Europe should have never have left the European Union. I don't know if Europe

knows what they are doing but they should regain sense of unity. There are so many issues to

solve like global warming and immigration. They should take it step by step to clean these

problems first and then to the other problems. I think that the Union is going to fall apart and all

the countries do what they think is right. This might lead to some of the countries to be poor or

fall in a big crisis. So, they should these major problems together fight together.

The first full event of modern nationalism happened in 17th century England, in the

Puritan revolution. England became a leading nation in scientific sprite, commercial enterprise

and in political thought and activity. With immense confidence in the new age, the English

people felt upon their shoulders the mission of history. This was a turning point from which a
new true reformation and a new liberty would start. The new message, carried by the new people

not only for England but for all mankind. This was expressed in the writings of John Milton.

Nationalism rose after the secularization had made greater progress. The rise of English

nationalism coincided with the English trading middle classed. It found its final expression of the

political philosophy of John Lockes. This influenced the American and the French nationalism

in the following century. American nationalism was a typical product of the 18th century.

American settlers became a nation engaged in a fight for liberty and individual rights. These

fights based on the current political thought was expressed by Thomas Jefferson and Thomas

Paine. The idea of Nationalism in the18th century founded their political realization in the

Declaration of Independence and the birth of the American nation.

The commonalities this and the other article had is the the ideas spread that is making

other to do the same thing as Europe did. Like how America did it in the 1800s and how some

nations in the European Union are trying to break from the European Union Right now. They are

trying to gain freedom, but this may cause a crisis on the economy and the relationships between

each countries.
