Personal Statement

Three years ago I asked myself, what will I be in the future? The question inspired me to

think deeply about what my interests are. At young age, I had a passion towards problem solving in

Mathematics and English for communication. At that time, I was studying in Thai private school

where Thai is the main medium of instruction; therefore, I decided to apply for an international

school where I can learn both Mathematics and English at the same time. At Mahidol University

International Demonstration School, I found that there were many electives to learn according to

my own interests. Besides Mathematics and English, I have studied several electives such as

economics, accountings, and finance. These courses had uncovered my hidden potentials which

were business administration skills. Therefore, it inspired me to search for more information about

studying business in university level. While I was sitting at my computer, searching many

universities in various faculties both in Thailand and abroad, I entered to Thammasat Business

School website on Bachelor Business Administration or BBA Programme. I was immediately drawn

to the program as it seemed to fit everything I was looking for in a business school. I strongly

believe that I have intellectual ability to be a successful undergraduate in BBA , and I have

illustrated my drive, ambition, and dedication to do this in many ways. I am capable of working as

part of a team as I have developed the initiative and ability to follow instructions and have the

capacity of working with others. I have good leadership skills which I want to turn into an excellent

and distinctive student through a Bachelors programme. I hope to gain a thorough understanding of

business administration to understand the inner workings of a company, along with the

collaboration that occurs within the organisation. The degree further enhances the managerial skills,

communication skills, and decision-making abilities of students.

The main attraction to BBA is my belief that it will prepare me for a career, especially for

those individuals like myself who are ready to take on new ideas or business concepts. I have great

opportunities to attend clubs in high school which are Junior Achievement company (JA company)

and Model United Nation (MUN). In JA company, I am a part of human resource department that

deals with the payment, management, and personnel development. I decided to attend this club to

improve my business skills and learn to communicate and organise with other people. In MUN, I

practiced on public speaking, debating, writing skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership

abilities. Furthermore, I had an excellent occasion to attend Hwa Chong Model ASEAN Summit

(HCMAS) at Hwa Chong Institution in Singapore. The summit is about discussion problems and

conflicts in ASEAN. I was chosen to be head of the state and delegate of Laos in economic

committee which I had learned about urban poverty and integrating of ASEAN economic and

promoting multilateral free trade. I gained many new knowledges about how to solve problems

efficiently based on current issues of each country and consult resolutions for these topics. All of

these open the world of economics and business in my perspective extensively.

After much consideration, I have decided that BBA program at Thammasat university is an

ideal fit for my academic ambitions and requirements. I intend to develop my interpersonal

characteristics and pursue a career in an accounting or financial professions. After graduation, I plan

to study aboard on Master of Business Administration or MBA program for further understanding

of the business world.
