In Opposing Viewpoints and Context, CNN Wire list very important facts about the

gender pay gap. The news article explains to the public the numbers and differences of

amounts in each job field. It shows both sides as well. It is an unbiased, but relatable

source to use. I agree with the article, and liked the fact for every dollar men make,

women only make seventy nine cents.

In opposing viewpoints and context, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review explained how female

attorneys push for equal pay wages. They explain how the issue needs to become a group

effort in order for woman to get results. In twenty-eight years they have not seen much

difference and that's because collaboration hasn't been emphasized. They believe that

founding an institute for sex inequality is a positive step to the end goal of complete

equality.

In Opposing Viewpoints in Context, Donna Batten explains the Equal Pay Act of 1963.

She states many helpful facts and real life experience she has viewed. She explains that

even with many years and advancements in life, the pay gap is still not fifty fifty. Batten

tries to take a positive outlook on the situation. She believes that having the gap will

make her work harder to have her equal pay rights.

In Opposing Viewpoints in Context, New York Times talks about not only the pay

difference but women advance slower than men as well. It brings up many points that

back up the main point that men are treated better than woman. I agree with the author

when she says that to change this issue. We have to forget the stereotypes. Stereotypes

such as scientist can only be men have to be erased. The author believes that if we come

together we can conquer the pay wage difference. This will help my paper because it will

give people a question in their head on how some change needs to be made.

In Global Issues in Context, Sydney Morning Herald explains the pay gaps of male and

female. She uses specific details of events and facts to exemplify her beliefs. Her

examples have been selected to contradict beliefs such as the pay difference is unequal,

and unfair. Herald uses logical arguments to support her claim, which is her personal

opinion as well. Herald,s style and vocabulary make the article more interesting and

persuades the reader to believe that pay gaps need to be fixed.
