Types of attention
There are 9 types of clinic application in attention
1. Awake or alert (arousal): the intensity or way to measure how alert you
are.
2. Span: attentional and memory amplitude, and it is based on the number
of stimuli that we can repeat immediately, based also in rhythm.
3. Focal or selective attention: non automatic attention implies this type of
attention and it is related with workmemory.
4. Displacement attention: this works when you focus your attention in one
visual camp and then in another. (You pass from one to another).
5. Serial attention: for cancellation and searching tasks, e.g. letter or
number cancellation test.
6. Dual or dived attention: when your attention is required for simultaneous
tasks, like paying attention in class while typing in the computer the main
ideas of the content.
7. Preparation attention: it requires a neurocognitive process in which you
get prepared for a new task by the selection of mental schemes.
8. Sustained attention: the ability to maintain the attention to different
events for long terms.
