USING THE INCOMING AND OUTGOING DOCUMENTS WINDOW
The navigation through the system can be done at the Inbound
Documents and Outbound Documents window. From the Inbound or
Outbound Documents window, expand the Transaction Set and then double
click on the Trading Partner to display the appropriate window.
SCHEDULING TASK LISTS
To Schedule a Task List, right mouse click on a Task List will bring up a select
ion
that includes a scheduling window.
DATA EDITOR
The Data Editor does X12, EDIFACT and/or TRADACOMS compliance checking
on all information entered by the user. This prevents non-compliant
data from being passed to the EDI generator.
GENERAL ISSUES
Due to the operation of multiple windows in the system, it may be
necessary to minimize Trading Partner to see any error dialog boxes.

The install process is now handled by the Window's Installer program.
For compatibility with the Windows Installer all future version numbers
will increment as a Major, Minor, and Build number. For backward
identification compatibility the four (4) digit scheme may remain in some
places but the third digit will remain at 0.
MDAC 2.7 sp1 is now the default MDAC level that is installed when needed.
The Jet 4.0 SP3 full component install and the Jet 4.0 SP6 update are installed
if necessary.
FUNCTIONALITY
SegTerm.exe has been added as a custom creatable network task, to enable
application integrators to convert the inbound EDI segment terminators to
the values that their external applications need.
Futil has been enhanced to accommodate full pathing of filenames and
concatenation of files.
The scheduler has been updated to allow the triggering of its action to be
based on either the original time events or one or more new file events.
The new file events trigger an action if the event is selected and the user
selectable file exists at startup, is created, is changed and or is deleted.
Added a command line parameter of /Wait4TaskDone to cause tppc.exe to wait
until the requested task exits the queue before tppc.exe exits.
Transaction set properties dialog now has a "XRF File" button.

WORKGROUP FEATURES
More than one person can use Trading Partner at a time. Authorized
number of users can be changed over the phone.
Easy Workstation installation. Defaults for the installation folders
the workstation should use are defined on the Server page of System
Management in the Administrator.
User Viewer allows full control over access to components. There are
three levels of access: Open, Property, and Other. User access
control is available in both Trading Partner Workgroup and Trading
Partner Desktop.
APPEARANCE AND EASE OF USE
Now includes a Favorites folder. Shortcuts in this folder can be run
from the administrator or the system tray. Includes a wizard for
creating shortcuts for Trading Partner tasks.
User Preferences have been added. They are: Single click to open
(point to select), Reload window details on startup, Hide Trading
Partner Documents, Show Task List contents during install, and Do not
build Task Lists during install.
Network Properties now has a list of Trading Partners for that
Network.
A utility is now available for moving Trading Partner to another
folder.
Tracked Task Properties now has Browse and Edit buttons.

Error reporting has been completely revamped. Now stores messages in

The export can be accessed either from the main menu by selecting File and
then Export . This allows the user to enter specific data selection criteria
for the export.
The other method of accessing the export is via command line options as
described below:
/EXPORT name Exports the data to a specified file name.
Entering /EXPORT RECDAT will write to a file named recdat.txt, and place
it in the \Trading Partner\Code folder (unless an alternate path
precedes the file name).
/DELETE Delete items
/ERROR Include items with errors
/ACK Include items that have been acknowledged
/NOACK Include items that have not been acknowledged
/UNDER n Include items less than n days old
/OVER n Include items over n days old

Examples:

Tppcsrvr, A problem exists on some computers when attempting to run Tppcsrvr
as a service. The problem exhibits itself as a failure to execute certain tasks
.
Tppcsrvr, A memory leak of about 30k per connection may exist on some
platforms. It appears to be related to MDAC.
There are no other significant known issues at this time.
