associatedwithitareduetoGMsdesignoftheoilingsystem,whichMaskinpointsout
hasnumerousproblemsthatareeliminatedbyDartsLSNextcastironblock.

Oneotherimprovementwasinthecamshaftbearingandoilfeedtothebearing,Parker
continues.Theblockwasoriginallydesignedusing16mmwidecamshaftbearingsand
theoilfeedwasastraightcutfromthemainbearingsaddletothecamshaftbearing.The
newfeedholeisstillstraightfromthemainsaddletothecambearing,butthereisan
addedannuluscutbehindthebearing.Thisallowsthecamshaftfeedholetobeplaced
anywherefromathreeoclockpositiontoasixoclockposition,withthreeoclockposition
allowingthebestoilwedgeandloadcapability.Additionally,wechangedthecambearings
from16mmwideto20mmwide,whichreducesbearingloadduetothelargersurface
area.
