AGM 2016 of BIIT Held

20th May 2017 brought the opportunity to celebrate Annual General Meeting- 2016 of
Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT) at the Conference Hall of the Institute.
Shah Abdul Hannan, President of BIIT, presided over the meeting while M Abdul Aziz,
Executive Director of BIIT delivered his welcome speech.

President of Finance presented Financial
Statement & Reports of Audit and Prof Dr
Abdur Rahman Anwari, Vice President of
Research presented Plan & Budget for
the Year 2017 in the meeting.
Among the distinguished life and general
members of BIIT, Mir Lutful Kabir Sadi,
Prof Dr Maimul Ahsan Khan, Mohammad
Ashraful Islam, Dr Md Nurul Islam, Mr Md
Nozrul Islam, Prof Dr Md Azizur Rahman,
Prof. Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman and Prof Dr Abdus Sakur Khandaker took part in a
discussion on the presented Activities of the Year 2016, Financial Statement & Reports
of Audit and Plan & Budget for the Year 2017.
The President of BIIT sought for the approval of Activities of the Year 2016, Financial
Statement & Reports of Audit and Plan & Budget for the Year 2017. Mr President also
sought for appointing an Audit Firm for auditing the Financial Statement of BIIT for the
year 2017.
Members of the executive committee, life & general members along with officials of the
Institute were present in the meeting that approved Financial Statement, Reports of
Audit & Activities of the Institute, Plan & Budget for the Year 2017 and also appointed
an Audit Firm accordingly.
BIIT showed heartfelt appreciation to its three fellow members in recognition of
Individual effort for promoting the publications of BIIT and IIIT during the year 2016. M
Abdul Aziz, Executive Director of BIIT announced the names- Shah Abdul Hannan, M
Ruhul Amin and Mohammad Amimul Ahsan, in this regard.

Islami Banking consultant was elected
as the President for the Year 2017-
2018, Mr M A Rashid Khan, retired
Joint Secretary of GoB & Treasurer of
Khaja Yunus Ali Medical College was
re-elected and Dr Md Yunus Ali, retired
Major and Dr. Abu Kholdun Al-
Mahmood, Professor of Ibn Sina
Medical College were elected as Vice
Presidents of the Institute in the
meeting. Moreover, Dr A K M Abdul

Quader, Professor of Chittagong University; Prof Dr Mahfuzur Rahman, Professor of
Islamic University Kushtia; Dr Suraiya Begum, Prof of Gyn & Obs of Northern
International Medical College & Hospital; Dr H M Mosharaf Hossain, Professor of Dhaka
University; Dr Mohammad Manzur-E-Elahi, Associate Professor of National University;
Dr Md Faruque Hossain, Associate Professor of Rajshahi University and Dr Md Nurul
Islam Senior Vice President of IBBL were elected as members of the Executive
Committee in the meeting.
M Azizul Huq, newly elected President of BIIT in his speech called up the all concerned
to reach heartiest services of the Institute. He expressed gratitude and thanked the
members and officials to continuing supports towards the Institute.
