About OSHAD

In February 2010, Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety


and Health Center (OSHAD) was established to
ensure the implementation of a comprehensive and
integrated management system for occupational
safety and health (OSHAD SF) and to oversee all
OSH issues at Emirate level, as well as to ensure
reduction of incidents, injuries and illnesses and
provision of safe and healthy workplaces.

About AL ADAA
To Facilitate the implementation of OSHAD SF and ensure
compliance with its requirements, OSHAD developed AL
ADAA.
AL ADAA is the Arabic word for performance.
AL ADAA is the first electronic application for the
management of occupational safety and health (OSH)
aspects in a consistent and uniform manner, and allows for
periodical and annual reporting on OSH performance.
AL ADAA covers all government departments, entities and
sectors in the Emirate, including: food, construction and
building, education, industry, health, energy, tourism and
culture, transport, waste and commercial sectors.

Coverage Levels
AL ADAA application covers the following parties across the Emirate
of Abu Dhabi:
Level One: OSHAD, the competent authority for occupational safety and
health in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
Level Two: Sector Regulatory Authorities (SRAs) designated by OSHAD, the
government departments delegated to oversee the implementation of
OSHAD SF requirements by entities within their sectors.
Level Three: Abu Dhabi government departments concerned with the
implementation of OSHAD SF requirements.
Level Four: Entities (companies/establishments) working within the sectors
implementing OSHAD SF and that have been nominated and notified by
respective SRAs to implement OSHAD SF requirements, following OSHADs
approval.
