The War of the Roses was a series of dynastic wars fought between the House of Lancaster and the House of York for the English throne between 1455 and 1487. The war was caused by several factors, including the dynastic struggle between the houses as they were both descendants of King Edward III, financial problems following the Hundred Years' War and Black Plague that led to inflation and social changes, and dynastic issues over succession after the death of King Henry V left a young Henry VI as king. The conflict involved many leaders from both houses battling for control and was marked by frequent changes in power between the warring royal houses.

This essay will analyze about the causes of the war of the roses and what is the main cause of the complex. First of all, War of the Rose is the wars for control of the throne of England fought between two royal House of Plantagenet the House of Lancaster, and the House of York. The symbol of Lancaster was red rose, and the symbol of York was a white rose. This fight happened between 1455 and 1487, the fight for power cause distress social and financial following the long war. War of the Rose was a series fought between many leaders or commanders of two house which are Duke of York, Elizabeth of York, Edward IV, Edward V, Richard, Richard III, Richard Neville, Henry VII, Henry V, Henry VI, and Margaret of Anjou. To start with, War of the Rose was caused by many reasons such as Dynastic struggle, bastard feudalism, both houses were direct descendants of king Edward III so they fight for the crown, the ruling Lancastrian king, Henry VI surrounded himself with unpopular nobles, the civil unrest of much of the population, the availability of many powerful lords with their own private armies, and the untimely episodes of mental illness by Henry VI. It can be argued that the major causes of the conflict are effect of the hundreds years' war (French War), financial problems and societal changes and dynastic problem.

Wars of the Roses began soon after the Hundred Years War was ended. The two families lost much by the English defeat. however, the end of the Hundred Years war did also leave many unemployed soldiers that cause the destabilizing in society. Medieval knights and nobles were a military caste, and it was as simple for them to participate in residential as remote fighting. Many of land owners were died, and the French Wars also had put a strain on the royal treasury. Since the fall of feudalism, minor lords in their dominions come fight on their side, under one banner. This means that they could call large armies for themselves as easily, and it may be easily more than the king. And fighting with a common enemy was no longer an option.
The last cause is the dynastic problem, after King Henry
V died, he have no succession that can rule after, he have Henry IV but he is only nine month when his father death. Therefore, it is too young for Henry IV to be the king, so Henry married Charles's daughter, Margaret of Anjou, hope to achieve peace in 1445, but the policy failed, and it led to the murder of William de la Pole, one of Henry's main advisors.
In conclusion, there are three main major cause of War
of the Rose can be seen in this essay which are effect of the hundreds years' war, financial problems and societal changes and dynastic problem.
