Job Scopes / Experience:

Control and remote monitor an assigned auxiliary plant and common areas to ensure assigned
Unit operates in a safe and efficient manner within safety and environmental constraints and
within design parameters and in accordance with the regulations and requirements of the
Regulatory Acts and Regulations and Power Purchase Agreement.

1.2 Jobs Scope

i. To execute shutdown, start-up or abnormal operations of the unit and/or its sub-
systems.
ii. To act as a Delegated Person, when required, with regard to the 'Safety from the
System' procedure.
iii. To confirm the status of equipment under his control and determine possible problems
with the operation of the Unit. Informing, Senior Unit Supervisor and the Head of Shift
about possible problems.
iv. To carry out regular walk downs and take proactive measures to ensure reliable plant
operation.
v. To report safety and other defects, and operational difficulties and shortfalls to his
Senior Unit Supervisor and the Head of Shift. Notify Planning via SAP if directed.
vi. Unit operates in a safe and efficient manner within safety and environmental constraints
and within design parameters and in accordance with the regulations and requirements
of the Regulatory Acts and Regulations and Power Purchase Agreement
vii. Carry out the operations and provide supervision to the operation technicians in carrying
out the operations of the assigned unit and common areas.
viii. Ensure all plant is pre-start checked before going into operation.
ix. Operate the assigned Unit using the appropriate operating procedures and to his Senior
Unit Supervisor and the Head of Shift instructions.
x. Confirm the status of equipment under his control and determine possible problems with
the operation of the Unit. Informing his Senior Unit Supervisor and the Head of Shift of
these possible problems.
 xi. Carry out regular testing plant/system changeover as scheduled for the assigned Unit,
strictly following approved test & changeover procedures.
xii. Execute the Safety from the System PTW system activities under the directive of his
Senior Unit Supervisor and the Head of Shift..
xiii. Maintain a high safety and quality conscious working environment, and ensure
compliance with all QHSE and legislative Health & Safety and Environmental
requirements. Take reasonable care to protect own health and safety as well as that of
others in the workplace.

accordance with the regulations and requirements of the Regulatory Acts and Regulations and
Power Purchase Agreement.

i. Working as a Operation Tech in Operation Department of Coal Fired Power Plant, this
composed of 3 Unit of Steam Turbine with total output of 2100 MW.
ii. The plant consists of: 3 units of Steam Generator by Ishikawajima Harima (IHI) & 3 units of
Steam Turbine Generator by TOSHIBA.
iii. To act as a Delegated Person, when required, with regard to the 'Safety from the
System' procedure.
iv. To assist in carrying out the operations of the assigned unit and common areas.
v. To assist in carrying out safe shut down and start up of the units and its related
auxiliaries.
vi. To assist in carrying out all plant is pre-start checked before going into operation.
vii. To assist in carrying operate the assigned Unit using the appropriate operating
