April 8, 2014 (Tuesday) marks the victory of reason over superstition as Sen.

Miriam
Defensor would have said. Sources such as the Philippine Daily Inquirer presented in
their recent news article the Supreme Courts decision on the Responsible Parenthood
and Reproductive Health Act of 2012 or RH Law, declaring it not unconstitutional,
however eight (8) provisions are confirmed as unconstitutional.
The Political Science Forum supports the Supreme Courts decision of the RH Laws
constitutionality. Regarding its legality, the provisions of the RH Law would open
numerous health-care programs, intensified family, proper education for minors and the
like. Sex education, however and as claimed by many, would open the minds of the
children who would therefore be indoctrinated due to curiosity. TPSF challenges all
educators of the reproductive science and as well as ethics (if not religious, then
intellectual) to educate their students about the responsibilities of having or raising a
family, and possibly the inviolability of sex.
However, respecting the sanctity and integrity of the Supreme Court, TPSF questions
the stability of the funding of this laws effectiveness. Will the local government units be
able to uphold the solidity of the funding for its promised free contraceptives, additional
family planning information, and sex education? Is the budget for the implementation of
this law free from foreign investment and not a matter of personal gain? TPSF, again,
supports the decision of the Supreme Court, but will remain alert whenever this advent
of change have upend to its nature of development to the Philippines.
