Our Vision Our Vision is to bring bright life back to the orphaned children
and people severely affected by the war in Sri Lanka.

Our Mission is to support the humanitarian organizations to rec-

reate a bright future filled with love, happiness and opportunity
Our Mission... for all the people, particularly children who have gone through
unimaginable suffering during the times of war.

We plan to achieve this by:

Bringing awareness among all of our friends and families about the chil-
dren and people affected by the war and their extreme conditions to get
their financial supports.
Creating direct links with humanitarian organizations to support their
sustainable, high-impact projects and become partners in their invalu-
able humanitarian efforts.
Creating connection with children in orphanages and women-headed
families and help them focus on their education and vocational training
to bring bright individual lives, and enable them to become respectable
citizens contributing to their communitys prosperous and peaceful fu-
ture.

Financial Assistance to Mannar Students

Diluxan from Adamban lost his father and living
with his mother, a housewife, and four other siblings.

Like the other 16 students with similar backgrounds,

he has been receiving a monthly stipend of Rs 3000
(approx. US $20) from Anpuneri. This little help and
his hard work has made him the first in class. He is
now full of hope that he will enter the university.

Anpuneri, WITH YOUR HELP, is determined to provide sup-

port to students like Diluxion and GIVE THEM HOPE ABOUT
THEIR FUTURE.

Higher degree payment for an ambitious bright student Anpuneri provided financial sup-
port to a bright and enthusiastic biomedical engineering student to pay a portion of her final
year tuition. She is continuing her studies while working part time at a research center to
meet her living costs. She is about complete her degree.

"I'm grateful to Anpuneri for the great support to persist my studies,

I would like to say my interest to contribute to a student like me through Anpuneri in future".

Calculators for Jaffna University Students 16 Jaffna Univer-

sity students received calculators through Anpuneri funds.
Approximately 35,000 SLR spent on the program.

By itself the help rendered to one may be a trifle; but

the timeliness of the help made in the hour of need

makes it bigger than the whole world.

To Do list (Requests from affected zones)

Arjana, from village Thanduvan, was unfortunate to marginally miss the admission to
the dental studies. Yet she choose to study Food and Nutrition at Sabragamuwa Uni-
versity. Arjanas dad is a life-long farmer, now 67 years old. She has one older brother,
and two sisters. Her older brother, became an amputee during the war, and not able to
support his sisters. One older sister is looking for a job while the younger sister is
studying. The family is not able to support her education expenses.
The family needs help

Arjunan Vanitha lost both of her arms when she was trying to deactivate a
landmine in 2008. She was taken and later released by Sri Lankan forces in n
2013. Her background as an ex-cadre hindered any help from the govern-
ment or NGOs or from her relatives. She moved to Keppapilavu and is stay-
ing with an old lady who understood her situation. Because of her voter reg-
istration in Uddappu, she even did not get a land or house yet while several
others in similar situation in the area received help from NGOs. She is on the
wait list to get a piece of land and a house. She is unable to do any work as
she does not have both arms.
Anpuneri is Looking to Help her

There are 102 students at Pannakkandi HTM School, Kilinochchi. They are the mostly children living below the
poverty line. They are losing interest in education because most of them come to school without breakfast. To
boost their interest and performance in educational activities, the principal, Mrs. Jayarani Loganageswaran is
requesting assistance. The estimated cost is about 100 USD per month.

There are only a few samples. There are many more students and
families that need our help

Abishalini Raveendran, is a bright 9th grader has lots of enthusi-

asm to study, and have been within the first three ranks in the
class. She lost her farther along with his four family members in
Mullivaikal in random shelling. Now Abihsalini family is cur-
rently supported by her uncle (mothers younger brother) who is
a laborer with very low income. and not able to help adequately.

Lakshikas story is no different. The tenth grader from Kokkuthoduvai, Mullaitivu is living with her mom and
younger brother. According to her teacher, he is hardworking, bright and maintains a good standing in grades
and attendance. Despite her family situation she is studying well for GCE O/L.
