Research and observe specific soccer drills via ICT tool Tes Teach.

Record what was effective, ineffective and any tactical skills or strategies onto ICT tool Padlet.

Create your own soccer drill from the information collected in ICT tool Sportsplan.

Construct a slide.ly video of your sportsplan drill, explaining what is happening at each phase of the drill.

Upload your completed slide.ly video to google docs and discuss your drill with peers.

10.15 1. Students are instructed to click on the Tes Teach link and watch one of
the three SoccerTV videos provided.

While watching one of the videos, students must keep in mind the

- What was effective/ineffective about the drill? Why?

- What components of fitness were exhibited? How?
- What parts of the drill would you replicate when creating your own?

10.20 2. Once videos are completed, students record down their answers to the
above questions anonymously on the padlet provided on the home

3. Teacher generates a class discussion from the padlet answers as a
transition to the next activity.

4. Teacher informs student to watch the slide.ly video in order to gain an
understanding on how to use sportsplan tool.

10.40 5. Students are able to move onto sportsplan to create their own drill at
their own pace. The drill must:

- Be soccer skill specific.


- Must incorporate the components of fitness - flexibility, endurance,
balance and/or strength.
- Include at least 3 phases.

6. Students take screenshots of the different phases of the drill as it is


being create in order to generate a slide.ly presentation.

Teacher assists students on sportsplan by walking around the room and Slide.ly
demonstrating how to use the site on the projector screen.

10.50 7. Students create their own slide.ly video with the screen shots of the
different phases generated on the sportsplan site. Each slide must
include a single sentence caption to explain what is taking place.

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)

10.55 Once slide.ly is complete, students are required to upload their link to the
google docs page in order to share their ideas with peers.

Class discussion is generated as teacher asks a few students to share


their drill with the class.

Recap lesson objectives and inform the students how next lesson filming
of the drills will commence.

Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?)


Students are reminded that if drills are not complete, they must be
complete prior to next lesson, as filming will commence. Equipment list

Students are required to email their equipment list required for their drill
prior to next lesson.

Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will these be judged?)

discussion and collected information.
(Objective 3) Completion of soccer drill.
(Objective 4) Completion of slide.ly video of sportsplan drill.
