To Whom It May Concern:

It is an honor to write this letter in support of Michael Frew for an elementary teaching position.
I have had the opportunity to work alongside Mr. Frew as a 4th grade teacher at Garretson
Elementary School for the 2016 2017 school year. Michael possesses many qualities which
in my mind are vital for any outstanding teacher: intelligence, organization, high competence in
content area, student-centered, flexible, and engaged beyond the classroom.

Michael distinguished himself early on as outstanding student teacher at Garretson. He taught

4th graders the importance to learn, reflect, and preserver through academic challenges. In
doing so, he established positive, productive, and professional relationships with his students.
For the 2016 2017 school year, as a result of a need, Michael volunteered to teach Saturday
math classes to help fill in any gaps the students may encounter. Over this past year, Michael
has taught small group instruction with our most academic disadvantaged students, Saturday
math class, and collaborating with our grade level twice a week after school up for two hours at
a time. Regardless of the need, Michael works tirelessly to provide a viable curriculum based
on academic course standards at a very high level.

Michael is unquestionably an exceptional candidate for an elementary teaching position. He

has proven himself to have the intellectual ability and presence, both in and out of the
classroom, to be an outstanding teacher and leader on any school campus. I highly
recommend Michael Frew without reservation.

Sincerely,

Lindy Roberts
4th Grade Teacher
Garretson Elementary School
