Meetings are an important part of working life. As a professional you will be asked to attend or even to
call many meetings throughout your career. Most departments or sections in a workplace have regular
meetings for their employees and teams working within those sections will probably also meet regularly.
It is not only at work that you will be asked to participate in meetings. Clubs, unions, political parties,
schools and even groups preparing tutorial papers find that meetings are an effective way of keeping
members informed, of discussing relevant issues and of identifying problems and developing solutions to
them.

is to lead this meeting.

meetings relating to your groups membership:
5. The secretary is to take notes of this meetings discussion and submit it to your tutor (following the
illustrated formats form the lecture or your experience) before 4pm tomorrow (except for DSVY group
submit before 10am next Monday).
NB: There has to be critical and logical consideration in the planning and listing of the order of the agenda for the
respective meeting.
