CAREER SUMMARY:
I have been working for the last 16 years as a reporter in the top national dailies of Bangladesh. Starting my career
with The Daily Ajker Kagoj, I have then worked in The Daily Sangbad for more than eight years. After that I have
joined in The Daily Bangladesh, the most popular daily news paper of Bangladesh. I have been working here for
more than 7 years and now working as senior reporter. In all my career life, my interested areas of reporting are
economy, education, government affairs, crime, environment, energy. I have always tried to serve the best and
also have received recognitions also for my works. I have received many international level training from many
international organizations like UNESCO, ANANYA, GTZ, CANADIAN awards and many more. All these are
dreaming me to do much better and now my vision is to work in International Print Media as an International
Reporter.

EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND/HISTORY:

2010-TILL:
SENIOR REPORTER
The Daily Bangladesh
[The Daily Bangladesh is the highest circulated and most popular newspaper in Bangladesh. Its reader per day is
more than 5 millions]

AREAS OF REPORTING:
Working as a Senior Reporter in the nations most widely circulated Bangla daily, The Daily Bangladesh since
2010. Specialization and area of reporting include government affairs, crime, environment, energy, economy,
education, politics womens issues and the liberation war.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
Some of my most influential stories include one on gross violation of human rights by members of a para-military
force, called RAB, on a poor and vulnerable college student, called Limon. Limon lived with his parents in a
remote coastal district, called Jhalokathi. Limon was a victim of repeated torture in Police and RAB custody. Even
after being freed on bail, RAB would implicate him on fresh cases on flimsy grounds and without evidence. As I
unearthed the story, none of my colleagues thought it would cause so much noise around the country. But as the
story picked up wind, Lomon soon became a household name.

2002-2010:
SENIOR REPORTER
THE DAILY SANGBAD
[The DAILLY SANGBAD is one of the oldest daily newspaper of Bangladesh. Once it was the most popular
newspaper of Bangladesh]

AREAS OF REPORTING:
Environment, energy, power & gas, economy, education, politics, government affairs & womens issues.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
I had the privilege to cover many sectors that are traditionally male-dominated. Sectors such as energy,
government affairs and, especially the Police, are rarely covered by women journalists in Bangladesh. But I did not
shy away from the challenges such assignments had to offer. I succeeded in mastering the basics as well as much of
the intermediate skills of reporting here at Sangbad.
