B) WITH ONE PARTNER THAT YOU HAVE NOT YET WORKED
WITH IN THIS CLASS THIS YEAR: Using the NEWSPAPERS or
MAGAZINES provided (or your own Magazines), find 2 ads that illustrate
each of the page layouts outlined above (do not combine the page layout
types). View the Ad Layouts PowerPoint in the DESKTOP PUBLISHING
folder for examples

Neatly cut each advertisement out of the NEWSPAPER (or magazine),

and identify which layout it represents (each ad must fit on an 8.5 X 11
page.
In a NEW Word Document (called Lastname(s).Layouts.docx) create a
Title Page with your Names, Todays Date, my name and Layout
Assignment as the Title. On the next page, identify each Ad you have
collected by name and describe the page layout type you chose and tell
why you think it is that type of page layout. Additionally, identify at least 5
of the design elements used in the ad (focus, colour, white space, etc)
For example, start with the POSTER and give the name of the AD and
describe the layout and why you think it is that type.
Do the same for each of the other ads you find. Also, staple your ads
identified clearly on blank paper included into one booklet and hand these
in on the front desk no later than Friday Nov.18th at 3:45 pm.

Save your COMPLETED document in a DTP folder in your YEARBOOK

folder as LASTNAME1.LASTNAME2.Page_Layouts.docx and print
this and staple on the front of all your ads.
