Waterloo Central Railway
Experience
The students will get to experience travel on a heritage train. Some of our coaches were
built in the 1920s some in the 1950s. They will learn about how the railroad helped build GRADE
Canada from coast to coast. Learn the history of the railroad in Waterloo/Wellington Region.
Pre-Kindergarten to 6
Throughout the journey we will travel past St. Jacobs Village through Mennonite farms to
Elmira and return. We will point out Old Order Mennonite farms, talk about the crops being Min Group Size:

The Waterloo Region Museum is a large Gallery Museum and Heritage Village comprised of 25
historic buildings restored to the year 1914. Our 3 galleries feature local history and changing
