All about me Sofie Bernart

G1B

My name is Sofie Bernart. The name Sofie means wisdom. I have blond hair and
blue eyes, and I am 160 cm tall. I am twelve years old, my birthday is on the 20th of
juli. I was born in 2003 in Breda. Now I live in Maarheeze, Sneppendijk 20. I have
two little sisters. The youngest, Janne, is nine years old, and the oldest, Marij, is
eleven years old. My fathers name is Bastiaan Bernart he is 44 years old. He is my
coach at hockey. My mothers name is Sandra Bernart. Her girls name is Sandra
Martens. She is 42 years old and she wrote a novel called Ik zag Menno. And
Pepper is our little dog. She is very lovely. She is two years old. We are al keen on
fieldhockey.
I have been playing hockey since I was six. I play in MC1 at HC Cranendonck. Last
season we were third. Now it is winter so we play indoor hockey.
For school I do Gymnasium TTO at Het College Weert. The same as Julia, Sophie
and Hester, my friends from primary school. I have to cycle 45 minutes to school and
45 minutes back .

How is school?

My class is G1B, 22 children, 7 boys and 15 girls. My mentor is Miss Engbersen. I

like my new class, but I miss my old class very much. We have 20 different subjects
in a week. The ones I like the most are the PE lessons and art. I dont like
mathematics. I have to study a lot every day. My homework, I do that at home in my
sleeping room or in the living room. Sometimes with the music on. And I also have to
study for the tests. Then I make a summary of all the things that we have to know
with many colors, arrows and drawings. A kind of mindmap.

How do I feel about high school?

I think there is a huge difference between the primary school and the secondary
school. I have to cycle 45 minutes to school as I allready wrote. I am always around
4 oclock in the afternoon at home. Then I have to do my homework. I have not much
time to do other things. That is not nice. There are much more children on the
secondary school. I made many nice new friends. And the school is closer to the city
than my old school in Maarheeze, so somethimes I go out to the city to shop or
watch a movie with my friends after school.

Difficulties and all things I enjoy

I find it difficult that after school I dont have a lot of free time.
Because of the few time, I see my friends of my old school only sometimes during
holiday. But it is also always very funny and nice when I ride home with my friends.
And it is diffIcult to concentrate on subjects I dont like. I enjoy all the trips we made
with school and I am looking forward to the trip to England. I think that will be very
nice. And i like Markies. They sell delicious food for during the break.
