In class we had to present our posters to the class and this is an explanation of our

display. For our bible passage it was John 15:14. It says, You are my friend, if you do what I

command.

The hypothesis of the statement is You are my friend and the conclusion is if you do

what I command. The conditional statement of that is, If you do what I command, then you are

my friend and that is false. The converse statement is, If you are my friend, then you will do

what I command. That statement is also false because you can be someones friend but dont

have to do what they say. The inverse statement is, If you do not do what I command, then you

are not my friend. That is once again false, because you do not have to do what your friends

command you to do. The contrapositive statement is, If you are not my friend, then you will do

as I command. That statement is false because, if you are not somebodys friend then you wont

do as they command. The counterexample for all the statements that were mentioned is, friends

do not always listen to each other.

In conclusion, all of our statements were false, even when we changed the order of the

words. You dont have to be friends with people that command you.
