Our first ever Ministry Spotlight is pointed
at our Garden Team. The Gardeners,
rallied by Diane Sobotka, spend time
cleaning our flower beds, removing and
replanting shrubs and trees when needed,
and help make the educated decisions
about what works best here in our clay soil.
Plants are chosen for a minimum of
attention and a maximum amount of
WOW! Memorials can be designated to
help keep the grounds planted and fresh.
The team is always looking for helpers, too
all you need is a love of the outdoors! If
youd like to be a part of the Garden Team,
please call the office at 402.371.1985.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Northeast Nebraska Continuum of Care
a group of human service providers in the
area will host Project Homeless Connect,
an event designed to help address the needs
of individuals and families in the area who
are experiencing homelessness or near
homelessness. It will take place from
1-6 PM on Friday, June 23, at Norfolk High
School. The event will feature a multitude
of agencies at one location providing a wide
range of free services from haircuts to
mental health treatment. People can apply
for housing assistance, physicals, eye
exams, dental assistance, and a hot meal
that day. Free daycare will be provided. If
you would like to know more or volunteer,

Skyview Lake. Gather your friends and family and
plan to attend this free annual event. National
bands & speakers, childrens tent, inflatables,
kayakingGREAT fun for all ages!
June 22nd: Music in the Park at Skyview
Lake. 6-9:30 PM Bring a lawnchair or blanket,
your favorite beverage & snacks, and join your
St. Johns family under the yellow windsock for a
free evening of fun & fellowship. All ages

at 2006 Hillview Drive from 7-10 PM.
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a concert
by Bennie and the Jets, a Tribute to Elton
John. Advance tickets $50. One hundred
percent (100%) of ticket sales goes directly
toward the purchase of the raw materials needed
to pack Mercy Meals. For more information and

The Garden Club invites the Property Team to
meet between services on
Sunday, June 25 @ 9:45am in the library. Topic
will be projects and plans going forward.
