Progress and Challenges
The last 10 years :
1. Maintain high economic growth at 4.5 6.5%
2. Reduce poverty rate from 16.6% in 2004 to 11.25% in 2013
3. Reduce unemployment from 9.8% in 2004 to 5.7% in 2013

Challenges remain :
a. The absolute number of poo is still large and inequality is a bit
raising
b. An accelerated economic growth is needed but will put
more burden to natural resources and environment
c. Growth and peoples activities has had little regard for the
impact on our ecosystem
VISION AND MISSION RPJMN 2015-2019
VISION:
INDONESIA: SOVEREIGNITY, SELF RELIANT AND GOTONG ROYONG

MISSION:
1. National security to maintain territorial sovereignity, support self-
reliant in economy, through securing maritime resources as
reflection of Indonesia as archipelago country
2. Developed, equitable and democratic society based on law.
3. Independent and active foreign policy and strengthening the identity
as a maritime country
4. Better quality of life, progressing and prosperity
5. Competitive nation
6. Pursuing a strong and independent maritime country based on
national goal
7. Community which based on national personality and culture

STANDARD DEVELOPMENT
1. Building society and human beings;
2. Improved efforts for welfare, prosperity, productivity should not create widened inequality
3. Special attention is given to improve lower & middle people productivity, without blocking,
inhibiting, shrinking and reducing flexibility of major actors to continue to be an agent of growth
4. Development activities must not impair, reduce carrying capacity of environment and the
balance of ecosystem

3. Indikator SDGs yang belum secara tersurat jelas pada RPJMN akan diupayakan untuk dapat 15
dicantumkan ke dalam Renstra KL.

Member State negotiations are expected to
commence early in 2015

Currently includes 17 goals and 169 targets
Covering many aspects of life (UN synthesis report) : + 6 elements:
1. Dignity: to end poverty and fight inequalities
2. Prosperity: to grow a strong, inclusive and transformative economy
3. Justice: to promote safe and peaceful societies and institutions
4. partnership: to cathalyse global solidarity for sustainable development
5. planet: to protect our ecosystems for all societies and our children and
6. people: to ensure healthy lives, knowledge and the inclusion of women and
children
