Project Title Live Tennis Club Brief

Section 1: Review (Approx 150 words)

There are a couple of things I hold dear that I have learned from all my
previous projects, there has always been many things that I learned from
each one that has helped me with the next one and so on, I have learned
things such as time management, patience, how to evaluate my work,
develop my work, thinking differently, thinking outside the box, practical
skills such as working with various materials, objects and software and
most importantly the previous projects have taught me to This project
which will be a live brief from a tennis club requiring me to re-design a
press-pack they currently give out to their members will give me the
opportunity to see how it's really like working as a self employed graphic
designer and it will also give me the opportunity to put all the things I
learned previously to good practical use and to improve on them.

Section 2: Project Concept (approx 250 words)

I am influenced and motivated by my interests, what I like and what I hold
dear to myself which will force me to create an inspirational tree of artists
and art movements which will essentially teach me specific things that I
will need to learn in order to complete this project, I will also research the
logo creations of Saul Bass and poster design by Armin Hofmann & Josef
Muller-Brockmann alongside with other designers which are all listed
below, since those are the things that will be vital in re-designing this
press-pack. I will explore architecture, different museums such as the
Imperial War Museum in Salford, Liverpool Walker & Tate museum,
photography of everything written previously I.e. architecture and art
pieces in-order to gain a deeper understanding of why something is
created in a specific way or form and how it impacts everyday the
everyday environment and society, visiting the museums I listed above
will provide me with the opportunity to gather primary research such as
sketches and drawings of art and architecture which can then be used in
my template design and experimental work. I hope to to photograph them
with a DSLR and then zoom right into them in Photoshop to extract
textures of the materials very closely to the paper at a high resolution so
it can then be used in my designs, I also hope to use the photographs I

take at the Tennis Club in my template designs so I can put them into
context with the brief.

Section 3: Evaluation (approx 100 words)

Initially I will rely mostly on my tutors for formative and summative
feedback about the work I carry out along side with feedback and opinions
of others that view my work. I will be letting graphic designers, family and
fellow students with similar interests as me look over my work so another
set of eyes that are not mine can critically analyse what I have completed.
I will also spend a day each week looking over all the work I have done,
analysing what I could improve and add, and also listing the next series of
things that I will need to do which will essentially help keep me organised
and in line with the project.
