Whats it like being in a Competitive Program?

Many people have wondered what it would be like to have a more hands on environment

or less homework. It is a great way to improve a students learning, it helps students become

more successful in life and it helps students get or earn a degree in college. It also helps students

be able to graduate. A great time for students to help each other, work together, ask for help

from teacher, and basically anything you can think of that a student can do for help in their class

or at home. Students can get motivated by having teachers give them a fun lecture or doing a

small activity about the topic there going to learn because itll show that their getting into the

topic. By doing this it helps students focus more on what their learning because the teacher will

make the assignment or making the class time more enjoyable for the students. All teachers

wants is to be able to help their students be successful, help them have passing grades, and

having them be able the graduate. All students want is to be set up for success and by doing all

this students with get that opportunity to prove to themselves that they know much more and

know how to enjoy there work. It preps students for the future because the more hands on they

are now the more likely theyll be able to get any job they want in the future or be able to do

anything with there life.

Success is what parents want from their kids and them having a bright future that they

can look forward to. Not many school have this program because maybe they know they their
James2

students are fine how they are in their education. But in the Finland Phenomenon documentary

there whole school is about being hands on, less homework, no quizzes, more helping each other

out in class. Itll show that more students will actually be suited to go to college and want to

learn maybe even have a future job that they want to do or help other people out. It makes the

teachers job easier in knowing what to help the student out in because if their into the topic of

discussion then it shows that theyre willing to know more. Most students will graduate from

high school and go to college, but very few of them will earn their degree. Even though students

dont like having homework or enjoy learning, they will probably like a more workforce training

to help their education. Students will like gaining knowledge if they have have teachers who

want to work or actually enjoy a subject that they would want to focus in.

Parents love to see they kids or their teenagers get involved with their work, class work,

or homework. Parents also want to see their kids get a degree in anything they want. How do

you get a degree in this program, you might ask? Well to start it off you get a better education

with more hands on like in a work force, less in class assignments, and less homework. With all

of these provided you still get the same amount of work done as any other student at any other

school, just your getting it done differently. It is a great way build skills that you can use in the

future because itll show that you took the time to get through your education the right way.

Opportunities is something that students want themselves to have and their parents want them to

have so the more they are focused during school so they can graduate and move on to get a

degree they will by far have plenty of opportunities anywhere. It helps students learn job skills

for the future that they may know and want to work on more or find the new jobs skills they
James3

learn will help them be very successful in life. These job skills they learn will help then get a

better job that pays well for more than an average adult.

Parents having homeschooled kids and their doing this program they will most likely

graduate a year earlier because of how much credits you get and learn. Kids parents want them to

have the best education that they can and by doing this homeschooled students will have more

time to finished their work and also have time to maybe work or do sports. It is definitely a wide

range experience for students because they want to be successful, their parents want them to be

successful they want to have the best education that they can. The practical learning experiences

that are often provided in career and technical programs appeal to many students, and certain

common elementsthe focus on critical thinking, new technologies, real-world settings,

hands-on activities, and the application of learning to practical problems. For example, the

Boards of Cooperative Educational Services in New York administers a network of 37 regional

career and technical education centers that serve students throughout the state. Students may also

attend separate career and technical institutions for part of the school day, or a regional center

may be the primary school of enrollment, where students take both academic and career and

technical courses. For example, rather than learning from books, taking tests, and discussing

abstract concepts in classrooms, students gain practical, relevant, marketable skills that will them

more employable adults after graduation.

Students enrolled at career and technical centers, which are typically secondary-level

public schools, are required to meet the same learning standards that apply to students in public

high schools. You are basically competing with everyone else in this program because itll show

that you want to be the best that you can. Most students who are in this program will graduate
James4

high school with a goal on a career plan. Career Technical Education provides students of all

ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in

future careers and to become lifelong learners. The program gives us anything we can ask for in

a high school education.
