Semester 2 Writing Sample Reflection

Overall, throughout this semester, I have passed all my writing samples and formal

essays. I have gotten at least a passing grade, but I feel like timed writes and research papers are

my weaknesses. While working on my narrative, I knew what I wanted it to be about, I just didn't

know how to do it and how I wanted it to end.

I hated the cultural myth paper. I absolutely did not like it, and the page limit made my

argument weaker. I only had about 2-21/2 pages, and it was fine, but when I saw that it needed

three pages, I had to add in more, and it just became repetitive.

My favorite writing sample was the objective summary. I love the book Anne of Green

Gables by Lucy M. Montgomery, and I have read it, listened to it, and seen the plays so many

times. I enjoyed that one, because I enjoyed what it was about, and I think that is part of the

reason I got a perfect score.

I believe my writing has somewhat improved from last semester, as I have gotten better

grades on my timed writes, and became more familiar with TEAS.
