S: Money is the only reason the Younger family is falling apart.

P: TRAVIS: This is the morning were supposed to bring fifty cents to school; RUTH: Well I
aint got no fifty cents this morning. WALTER: WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE LISTEN TO
ME. It is life mama! (Walter was talking about money)
E: The story begins with a conflict between Travis and Ruth as a result of money, and throughout
the story many more conflicts between members of the family are caused because of a money
issue such as arguments between Mama and Walter, and Walter and Ruth.
S: Money causes tension in the younger family therefore is is the reason they are falling apart, all
members have an underlying worry and stress about their money situation.
