Greece Democrats Announce Jim Leary as

Candidate for Town Supervisor
Team of Candidates Run to Bring Change to Greece Town Hall

(Rochester, NY ) Jim Leary, a retired Town of Greece Police Officer, announced his candidacy for
Town of Greece supervisor today at the Monroe County Democratic Headquarters. Leary was nominated
by a unanimous vote of the Greece Democratic Committee at a recent committee meeting. We are a
large community with many interests, many talents and many voices. said Leary, a lifelong Greece
resident who lives in the town with his two daughters, We are not a town of one interest, one talent or
one voice.

Leary was raised in Greece and continues to live there with his two daughters. Jims wife passed away
from cancer four years ago and Jim has been actively involved in the cause of prevention awareness. He
also has a long and respected history of community involvement including volunteering as a firefighter,
volunteer ambulance member and with Greece Girls Soccer.
"For too long, Greece Town Hall has operated as a surrogate office for the Monroe County Republican
Party, rather than a resource for the residents in Town." stated Jamie Romeo, Chairwoman of the
Monroe County Democratic Committee. "Now more than ever we need accessible public servants
building trust between constituents and their government; and for far too many Greece Town Government
has continues to operate as a bastion for the well-connected few. Change is coming to the Town of
Greece."
Rumella Cameron, Democratic Candidate to Greece Ward 2, As you may know there's a lot going
on in the Town of Greece that is not being discussed or addressed at Town Hall and I want to be the first
to start those conversations. I look forward to being the voice for my constituents and bring more diversity
to Town Hall. Together, we will empower our neighbors to get more involved in government and make
the Greece Town Government more accessible to minority populations. With your help and support,
together we will move Greece forward.
As voters across this County continue to look to our leaders to stand up to the hyper-partisanship we
continue to witness, from the White House to local Town Halls. The Monroe County Democratic
Committee will continue to work to empower voters with a choice on Election Day. Chairwoman Romeo
concluded.
