Greetings from the Association of Indian Students (AIS) at USC and our hearty congratulations to you on

securing an admit with the USC Viterbi School of Engineering!

AIS is the largest Indian student organization in USA and one of the largest student organizations at USC
- we like to think of it as a home away from home for students from India. Right from your arrival at USC,
you can expect to enjoy the warmth and hospitality offered by AIS. We help you find temporary
accommodation, host meetings during the initial few Sundays to catch you up with life in USA and on
campus, organize orientation programs and much more!

Our events throughout the year - Garba, Diwali, Holi, Bollywood Night, food nights, etc., are crowd
favorites! Interested in knowing more? We welcome you to check our official website
http://www.aisusc.org and our AIS USC Facebook page for updates about our events.

Available to our incoming Viterbi students from India are the following:

Temporary accommodation: Every year, we help them find temporary accommodation after
their arrival at USC, thanks to our kind hosts! We start accepting requests typically from June first
week. Please keep visiting the 'housing' tab on our website around that time if you require this
service and please sign up using your USC email ID.

Mentor program: Owing to the program's success in the past couple of semesters, we are
continuing our mentor program to help new students get in touch with their seniors (possibly from
their respective majors) prior their arrival at USC. Students can get their questions (usually about
documents to carry, immunization requirements, education system in USA, life at USC, Indian
stores, food, etc.) answered from them and be prepared well in advance. Mentees sign-up forms
will be available on our website in June-First week.

The AIS website also has many useful tips in the form of documents, frequently asked questions and other
stuff that can help answer most of your questions even before you get here so you can leave all the stress
behind!

For any questions or concerns, please email us at india@aisusc.org.

Thank you! Fight On!

Sincerely,

Milind Bhat
