Analyzing social media communication for predicting variance in Vehicle Miles Travelled August 2016
Implemented a research project for UCCONNECT summer scholarship program conducted by Cal Poly Pomona
and UC Berkeley.
Developed methods to integrate online social media data (Twitter) with sensor data from loop sensors installed
on major freeways to check if a correlation exists.
Used Python to write server-side code and MongoDB for data storage, collection, searching and processing.
Presented this project at the International Symposium of Engineering Research in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Spread Of Influence June 2016
Fixed bugs from existing website for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) funded project.
Used Java to write server-side code to identify the most influential people on Twitter to help promote public
transportation in California and used AngularJS for the front-end. Python was used to stream real-time data
from Twitter API. Deployed the application on college server and designed a bot to ensure continuous streaming
of tweets from Twitter API.

URL shortener (GitHub) October 2016
A Java EE application which acts as a URL shortener. Used JSPs and Spring JDBC to persist data to HSQL database.
Refactored the same code to use Spring MVC framework.
Page Turner (GitHub) using JavaScript/jQuery, Node.js and MongoDB April 2016
An online application where book lovers can browse through books, mark books that they have read, are
reading or the ones they wish to read by adding them to the bookshelf. They can also follow other users.
Google Books API was used as a third-party Web Service API to fetch list of books.
Gormandize (GitHub) using AngularJS (front-end), MongoDB, and NodeJS, ExpressJS (back-end) March 2016
A single page web application that helps users to post reviews about a restaurant and give a star rating to the
restaurant. It also displays the average rating for each restaurant based on reviews posted by users.
Users can also add a new restaurant and rate it. Refactored the same code to use JAX-RS for back-end.
Mini Reddit (GitHub) using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js and JSON February 2016
A social news voting website similar to Reddit where users can post text, web links and up-vote or down-vote a
certain post. The position of a post on the web page is determined by the number of votes.
Web application on Project Management using Agile and Scrum Methodologies October 2015
A web application to track the progress of software projects. The output is a pie chart displaying the tasks that
have been completed, tasks that are being processed, tasks that are blocked and tasks that are incomplete.
