Lexington, KY, June 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Jane Penelope Johnson, Ph.D. of Lexington, Kentucky has
been recognized as a Lifetime Woman of Excellence by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for
her outstanding contributions and achievements in the fields of writing and poetry. She will be recognized
on the Reuters Billboard in Times Square in New York City on June 9th, 2017.
Dr. Johnson has received numerous honors and awards. She was chosen as the Most Admired Woman of
the Decade, International Woman of the Year by Cambridge in England, three time award winner of
Woman of the Year by the American Biographical Institute, The National Library of Poetry and was
listed in International Who's Who of Intellectuals. Her Sing Hosanna CD was sent to the U.S. troops in
Iraq and around the world for Christmas in 2005 and her songs were number 1 out of 18 at Hilltop
Records in Hollywood, California. Dr. Johnson's poem Goldpin was in the Who's Who of International
Poets for excellence in poetry and vision. She was appointed Genius Laureate, USA by Janet M. Evans,
President of A.B.I., included in 500 Greatest Genius Laureates of the 21st Century, and is a life member
of the American Hall of Fame. She was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from A.B.I. for her
poem Shout it Out-Immortal Verses in 2007. Dr. Johnson received the Presidential Award from George
W. Bush in 2008, and the Laureate International Biography Centre Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011,
having been sponsored by Director General Nicholas Law and nominated by the Awards Board of I.B.C.
She was inducted into the Order of Merit by the National Republican Committee and the Republican
National Committee Life Member Program, one of the highest honors bestowed by the party, in 2015. Dr.
Johnson's name is on The Life Member Roll of Honor at the President Dwight Eisenhower Center,
Washington, DC. She is on the Republican Presidential Honor Roll for helping to get Donald J. Trump
elected President, and the R.N.C. Presidential Advisory Board signed by President Donald J. Trump. She
was featured in Guideposts fall newsletter in 2014 for 50 years of membership and legacy.
Dr. Johnson is affiliated with the International Order of Merit, the World Literacy Academy, is the
Deputy Governor of the American Biographical Institute, and Advisor for the International Society of
Poetry for Life. She is a member of the International Poetry Hall of Fame, America's Registry of
Outstanding Professionals, and the Academy of American Poets.

Dr. Johnson's most notable career accomplishments include receiving The Emily Dickinson Award for
the poem, "The Wedding" from the Amherst Society, becoming a Member of the National Author's
Registry, and receiving Honorable Mention for the President's Award for "Heaven Awaits." She is
especially proud of writing the song, "Fighting for Freedom" which became a finalist for Best Song in
"Americans Stand Tall Songbook," published by Hilltop Records and honoring victims of 9/11. Her
poem, "A Bouquet of Poets" was read on the Florence Henderson Poetry Today Radio Show in New
York, and her poem, "Our Gentle Giant" was published in Best Poems and Poets by the International
Library of Poetry in 2002. Dr. Johnson received "The 2002 Noble Prize" for Outstanding Achievement
and Contributions to Worldwide Humanity by the United Cultural Convention USA. In 2002, she was
awarded a Certificate of Recognition for exemplary leadership for the Republican Party (Grassroots
Leader) signed by President George W. Bush and a World Intellectual title given by the late Dr. Ernest
Kay who was the Director General of the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England. Dr.
Johnson is motivated by her mentor, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. Her efforts helped get Donald J. Trump
elected as President of the United States of America.
After graduating from the Famous Writers School in Westport, Connecticut in 1967, Dr. Johnson
attended and graduated from The Newspaper Institute of America in New York and the Denis Waitley
School of Dynamic Winning in 1969. She received an Honorary Doctor of Letters in London, England in
1993 and graduated from the American Association of Christian Counselors in 2001.
Born July 1, 1940 in Danville, Kentucky, Dr. Johnson began to focus on her talents at the young age of 10
and was quickly recognized by her parents, teachers and local community. She married William Evan
Johnson, Sr. on July 15, 1958. They have two children and two grandchildren. In her spare time she
enjoys piano, singing with the Sweet Adelines, dancing, walking and swimming.
Dr. Johnson has revised her personal mission statement for her golden years to say I can't fix everything,
I will stay calm, and I'm just going to love everybody.
