alysis of the vegetarian recipe
We have chosen for Ratatouille
Why did we choose for Ratatouille?
We have chosen for ratatouille because we both taught
that it was a good and delicious vegetarian recipe.
There are a lot of greenies in it which are very healthy.
The idea of it is very creative and you can combine it
with very much things, rice or pasta for example

Ingredients:
- 225g cherry tomatoes
- 1 red onion
- 1 aubergine
- 1 yellow pepper and 2 red peppers
- 2 courgettes
- 1 fennel bulb
- 90ml of olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and roughly
chopped
- 10g of fresh basil, torn
- 2 pinches of black pepper
- 2 pinches of salt

Cherry tomatoes:

tomato plant
- It is the fruit of a
tomato plant
- They sow the seeds
of a tomato plant
into the soil. if the
tomato plant is fully
grown, small green
tomatoes appear at the yellow flowers of
the tomato plant. If the tomatoes
become red or yellow they are ripe and
ready to go to the shops.

Red onion:
- It comes from the red union plant
- It is the root of a red union plant
- They put bulbs of a red union plant in the
soil. When the red unions are fully grown

quarters and then cut
each quarter lengthways

- It comes from the eggplant

Red and Yellow bell peppers
- It comes from a bell pepper plant
- It is the fruit of a bell pepper plant
- They sow the seeds of a bell pepper into
the soil. When the bell pepper plant
grows up small green peppers start to
grow on the stems. When the peppers
become red, yellow or orange they are
ripe. People pick them of of the bell
pepper plant. The people put them in
boxes and then they are ready to go to
the shops

Courgettes:
- It comes from the courgette plant
- It is the fruit of a courgette plant
- They sow the seeds of a courgette plant
into the soil. When the courgette plant
grows up, small green courgettes start to
grow, When the courgettes are ripe.
People pick them of the
courgette plant, put them
in boxes and are ready to
go to the shops

South-Africa
- Cut it into quarters and
then cut each quarter

put it together with the other vegetables

Fennel bulb:
- It comes from the fennel.
- We normally eat the undergrounded part.
- First you put bulbs of fennel in the soil
than more fennels are growing out of it
and that fennel go to the store.
- It comes from the Mediterranean.
- Cut it in quarts and
then cut it lengthwise
again. Put it by the
other vegetables.

Garlic:
- It comes from the
garlic bulb
- We eat the whole bulb beside the peels.
- First you put bulbs of garlic in the soil
than more garlics are growing out of it
and that garlics go to the store.
- It comes from between the
Mediterranean and China

- Take one pickle and Press it in the garlic
press. Then put it by the
anther vegetables.

Fresh basil torn:


- It comes from the basil
plant.
- We eat the leaves.
- you put the seeds in the soil
and then it will grow when you
give it water.
- It comes from Greek.
- When the rest is 10 minutes in
the pan you need to add the
basil

Black pepper:
- It comes from the pepper plant.
- We eat some parts of the flower.
- Put some pepper in the soil and give it
water, than it will grow.
- It comes from south India.
- When it is done put it over the rest

Salt:

How to cook Ratatouille?


1. Preheat the oven to 220C/gas mark 7
2. Peel the onion, cut into quarters and then cut each
quarter lengthways again. Roughly chop the
remaining vegetables to a similar size and place
into a large bowl with the onion

1 red onion

1 medium aubergine

1 yellow pepper

2 red peppers

2 courgettes

1 fennel bulb

3. Pour over the olive oil, add the garlic and use your
hands to mix thoroughly. Spread out the vegetables
in a roasting tray and season with salt and pepper

1 garlic clove, peeled and roughly chopped

1 pinch of black pepper

1 pinch of salt

90ml of olive oil

4. place the roasting tray in the oven. Once the
vegetables have started to colour, around 10-15
minutes, add the tomato and basil

225g of cherry tomatoes

10g of fresh basil, torn

5. Mix well and return to the oven for a further 20


minutes, or until the vegetables are well coloured
but remain reasonably crunchy in texture
6. Remove from the oven, season to taste and serve

1 pinch of black pepper

1 pinch of salt
