1. Minimum system requirements

PC
- Pentium(r) II
- 400 MHz processor
- Microsoft(r) Windows(r) 98, ME, 2000, XP
- 64 MB RAM
- 50 MB free hard-disk space
- 24x CD-ROM drive speed
- 800 x 600 screen resolution displaying 16-bit colour (32-bit colour recommende

- Mac OS(r) 9.2, X.1, X.2, X.3

2. Running the application
For PC
Set your keyboard to UK English.
Ensure that no other applications are running.
Insert New Headway PLus Elementary CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive
The CD-ROM should auto-run.
If it does not auto-run, do the following:
- From the Start menu, choose Start and then Run.
- Type D:\start.exe (where D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive).
- Click the OK button.
- The application should now start.
For Mac(r)
Set your keyboard to UK English.
Ensure that no other applications are running.
Insert the New Headway Plus Elementary CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
Double click on the New Headway Plus Elementary CD-ROM icon on your desktop.
Double click on the Start file.
The application should now start.
3. Carbonlib Mac(r) extension
CarbonLib error message on Mac(r) OS 9
CarbonLib is a Mac(r) Extension that allows software to be run on both Mac(r) OS
X and the Mac OS 9 operating systems. Macromedia Flash MX requires CarbonLib 1.5
or later to run on Mac(r) OS 9 (the CarbonLib functionality is built into Mac(r
) OS X, so nothing additional is required for that operating system). For more
information on CarbonLib or to download a copy, refer to www.apple.com/support/.
Because CarbonLib is a Mac Extension it requires the system to be restarted befo
re it can be used.CarbonLib can also be upgraded with Apple's Software Update se
rvice. With Mac OS X, use System Preferences > System > Software Update; and for
Mac OS 9, use the Control Panel > Software Update.
