Custom Welded Beams

A Major Introduction

Taperslee Pty Ltd began trading in 1988 as Major Rigging Co,

specialising in the fabrication and erection of structural steel.
Seeking to meet the increasing demand for our structural steel
services, we divided into two separate entities catering to two
different sectors of the construction industry.

Today, Taperslee Pty Ltd now trading as Major Construction

Group has branched out utilising new technologies to produce
custom welded structural beams.

Special Sections
Custom special sections can be fabricated to meet engineers
and / or customers needs at an economical rate. Such unique
shapes and special sections include:
 Notched beams
 Tapered beam
 Variable plate beams
 Cut outs
We are capable of manufacturing custom special sections
with:
A web reaching the maximum height of 2m, with a
maximum thickness of 40mm
Flanges ranging from 22mm-1250mm in width and
8mm-40mm in thickness.
The maximum beam length we can produce is up to
30m long.
We can work within these specifications while maintaining:
The maximum beam weight of 1000kg per metre
The maximum angle inclination of 20 and a difference
in height of both ends of the beam not exceeding
900mm.
We also offer the following services upon the completion if
required:
 Assembly of custom special sections
