SFE-*
Starline Forward Equalizer
BENEFITS INCLUDE:
1
BACKWARD/FORWARD COMPATIBILITY
Forward Compatibility: The latest amplifiers may use all ergonomic accessories such as the SFE-
*-*, but it is also possible to use the older version non-ergonomic accessories such as the EQ-*-*
if desired. However, these older accessories may require removal of the chassis cover for
installation.
Backward Compatibility: The ergonomic accessories are the same as the previous accessories,
except for the addition of the plastic guides and shells. See chart below for forward equalizer
nomenclature. Therefore, the plastic guides and shells can be removed for use in older
amplifiers. For more information, please contact your Motorola Account Representative.
To remove the plastic cover of the SFE-*-* insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the slot on the side
of the cover and rotate in either direction to slightly spread the side wall of the cover, as illustrated
below:
The ergonomic accessories have model indicators to better align the notation with our product
descriptions. The following table indicates the old accessory vs. the ergonomic accessory
notation.

The slope is calculated by subtracting the insertion loss at the highest frequency from the insertion loss at the lowest frequency.
