Behind
Trampoline
Elena Butler
What Is Trampoline?
Trampoline is a sheet, usually made out of canvas,
attached by resilient cords or springs to a horizontal
frame several feet above the floor, used by gymnasts to
practice jumps and perform flips.
Second Law Of Motion: Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The
greater the mass( of the object being accelerated) the greater the amount of force
needed to accelerate the object.
Third Law Of Motion: For every action there is an equal opposite re-action.
Key Physics Terms
Kinetic Energy: Energy that a body possesses by a Potential Energy: The energy possessed by
virtue of being in motion. a body by virtue of its position relative to
others, stresses within itself, electric
Gravity Force: The force of gravity is the force
with which the earth, moon, or other massively charge, and other factors.
large objects attracts another object towards itself.
The force of gravity on the earth is always equal
to the weight of the object as found by the
equation:
Fgrav=m*g
Friction Force: The force exerted by a surface as an object moves across it or makes
an effort to move across it. There are two types of friction forces- sliding and static
friction. The friction force often opposes the motion of an object. Friction results
from the two surfaces being pressed together closely causing intermolecular attractive
forces between molecules of different surfaces.
Spring Force: The force exerted by a compressed or stretched spring upon any object
that is attached to it. An object that compresses or stretches a spring is always acted
upon by a force that restores the object to its rest or equilibrium position.
Angular Momentum And Velocity
Angular Momentum: The equivalent of linear momentum, and is
given by: L=IW, where I is the moment of inertia of an object
about an axis, and W is the angular velocity about that axis.
Angular momentum has the units Kgms-.

Physics Behind My Gymnastics
I decided to find my Potential Energy and
Kienetic Energy at certain spots in my
routine. I used a compuer program to
show my height at the certain spots in my
outine I wanted to find. I used the Y
velocity it gave me to calcualte the
physics in my routine. I then Translated
my data into joules to get the correct
measurment form. The way i
measured my height in inches is by usuing
a block as my base height. The block
height is 53 inch from the groun. So the
cmputer program I used trackedmy height
usuing the bock.
