As a G.A.T.E student I have always been aware of the differences of learning between
myself and my peers. At the time very few teachers where equipped to help such students. I
was probably one of the most challenging because I was also one of the highest. I was always
over mid/high 90s percentile on state scores. I also was helping all the students in a combo 3, 4,
5 GATE class, teaching the math class in 7th, and so on. This has taken me my whole life to
understand. I remembered too much; visually, audibly, physically, etc. It was overwhelming.

would have liked to not answer a few! As you may have guessed I dont care to be labeled or to
label others. I understand the need for it but I would much rather teach everyone to learn in
every way and to be moral enough to deal with it! I believe one can build on their strengths and
develop their weaknesses. To summarize I believe I am strong and weak in all areas so I have
