Note: This is the first lesson of week 6 and falls under Social, Cultural and Historical Contexts.

towards their mastery of painting in Acrylic and Watercolour Paints. This task is
to be performed with the aim of progressing students capacities in Literacy,
Numeracy and Critical and Creative thinking through the assessment of
performance of art mediums and their appropriateness for particular art styles
and works.

CLEAN AND PACK UP
Students will pack up the art supplies they have been using throughout
the class and clean any of the material that have been messed during
the classes activities, including the correct washing of paintbrushes.
Students will place any work that is still wet on the drying rack.
The teacher will aid students in the packing up of class to ensure that
the process is swift and efficient.

While students are packing up the class remind them that their progress on the
Investigatory Journal Assessment Task will be checks in the next class and
that they are expected to have 3 out of 5 A4 pages complete, including an
analysis overview of Art Nouveau as an art movement and either analysis for
ONE artist and ONE of their works, TWO artists, or TWO artworks completed
through annotations.
The teacher will write these expectations on the white board for the class to
see and take note of once, and while, they are cleaning up.

Other Facts
Art Nouveau was influenced by the dream worlds of the Symbolist poets and evocative and
decorative forms.
