MINEWORX TECHNOLOGIES:

The Eco-Friendly
Future of Precious
Element Extraction.
MINERAL EXTRACTION

A Profitable
Yet Toxic
Conundrum.
Digging for ore containing precious
metals is only one facet of the mining
process. The ore is crushed and its
valuable mineral content is extracted
using sodium cyanide and other highly
toxic chemicals.

INDUSTRY SODIUM CYANIDE USE:

66,000 TONS

CHALLENGES FACING TODAYS

EXISTING EXTRACTION PROCESSES
Cyanide has been the leach reagent of choice in gold
mining because of its high gold recoveries, robustness and
relatively low cost. As a result, over 76% of all gold extracted
worldwide is produced by hydrometallurgical extraction with
the use of cyanide.

However, cyanide and cyanide gas used in existing

extraction solutions are highly toxic, necessitating extreme
care during ore processing to avoid worker exposure.

Finally, due to the high costs involved with the safe handling,
transport, and disposal of cyanide, many projects are simply
not worth considering.

TODAYS E-WASTE RECYCLING CHALLENGES

Similarly, e-waste recycling has the potential to deliver a solid ROI as

well as offset the environmental impact of electronics manufacturing,
but as with the mining sector, current extraction methods require toxic
chemicals and present virtually the same challenges.

The $120 Billion gold mining and $20 Billion (expected to

are limited by the inherent toxicity of their processes,
either by outright bans on toxic chemical use at certain
sites, or the cost-prohibitive measures required to
minimize environmental impact.

INTRODUCING MINEWORX
X-LEACH CYANIDE-FREE EXTRACTION SOLUTION

Tomorrows effective, eco-friendly

mineral extraction solutions
are here today.

Only from Mineworx.

EFFECTIVE. EFFICIENT. SAFE.

Non-Toxic.
Market-Disruptive.
Mineworxs X-Leach is the technological
centerpiece of an entirely new process which
extracts gold and other precious elements
from ore and e-waste without
the use of cyanide or toxic chemicals.

This solution significantly enhances the monetization

of electronics recycling and overcomes many current
traditional mining processing limitations due to
environmental considerations or project economics.

When it comes to eco-friendly hydrometallurical

extraction, Mineworx Technologies stands alone.
X-Leach and its other patent-pending solutions are
further protected by several solid barriers to entry.

Bottom Line: Mineworxs X-Leach excels

where yesterdays obsolete methods are
no longer cost effective or welcome.
X-LEACH. X-TRACT. X-MILL.

Mineworxs Patent-
Pending, Non-Toxic
Extraction Solution.
Its hardly surprising that cyanide usage is being banned
with a passionate fervor. Montana and Wisconsin have
banned the toxic mining extraction chemical, as have several
counties in the U.S. Many E.U. countries have banned
cyanide as well, as have many areas in Argentina and Costa
Rica. It would be a reasonable conclusion to expect more
and wider bans on cyanide use.

A TOXIC LEGACY

contained over 48,100 sites and 89,500 features.
Approximately 20% of the sites have either been remediated, have reclamation
actions planned or underway, or do not require further action. The remaining 80%
SOURCE: require further investigation and/or remediation. Many of these sites were shut
U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) down due to the economics related to existing processing methodologies

Many of these sites are smaller scale but potentially highly profitable deposits
which cannot justify the capex expenditures of a conventional mining and milling
operation, but have highly favorable economics to justify the deployment of a
strategic, portable, low cost alternative.
X-Leach Features
The patent-pending, cyanide-free reagent consists of a base formula of non-toxic
dry ingredients which are mixed with water. The oxidant is uniquely generated and
regenerated for re-use electrochemically.

The process is similar to cyanide circuits but safer and less complex. It involves the
dissolution of the precious metals into the aqueous solution followed by extraction
using conventional methods such as electrowinning, carbon absorption, or
precipitation. The operation is simple and does not require complex process circuits,
intensive gas monitoring, elevated temperatures, or costly detoxification systems.

The process is safe, eco-friendly and provides comparable leach kinetics to that of
cyanide or acid based lixiviants on most ores, concentrates, tailings and E-Waste.
Effective recovery rates of precious metals are on par or better than cyanide or other
procedures in use today.
