La necropoltica de gnero
5. El escenario de la trata y el
trfico de mujeres. Desde los tiempos del
conflicto armado, Centroamrica ha sido un
territorio expulsor de personas por excelencia[3].
Segn clculos hechos por diferentes servicios de
inmigracin, el 47% de las personas inmigrantes de
Centroamrica son mujeres (Migration Information
Source, 2013). La mayora de estas mujeres
inmigrantes lo hacen en condicin de ilegalidad,
lo que las expone a graves riesgos. Tanto es as,
que la migracin hacia los Estados Unidos desde
Centroamrica ya ha sido definida como una de las
travesas ms peligrosas del mundo.
