- I finished secondary school in 2015

-Ive just completed grade 10 at the Luong Van Chanh high school for the gifted
4. Whats something special about your school ?
- Its the best schoool in my province. Every year ,thousands of students have to sit for
the entrance exam to be admitted to this
5.What subjects do you like best in school ? And why ?
-I like English,Maths and P.E because I find it captivating and interesting to learn.
6. Who teaches you in Literature ?
- Ms Thi was the person who teaches me in that subject
7. Who is your favorite teacher ?
-My beloved teacher is also my English teacher whose name is Le Thi Kim Tuyen. Shes
such an attentive and knowledgeable teacher who can spend hours just listening to the
students problem after class
8.Whos your head teacher ?
-The head teacher in grade ten is Ms Bao Quynh, shes also my French teacher

-His name is Huynh Tan Chau
10. Do you have any siblings /Do you have any brothers or sisters ? What are they
doing ?
-Yes I do. Ive got one younger sister whose name is Ngoc Han. She was born in 2008
and shes going to elementary school
11. Have you got the TOEFL school ?
-No I havent, but Ive been taking ielts course for the past 6 months
12. Why dont you take the TOEFL in VietNam ?
-TOEFL is a prestigious certificate but IELTS are offered more frequently in my
hometown. Furthermore, IELTS has been accepted widely by the US

13. Why do you want to study overseas, not continue your study in VietNam ?
-Studying overseas particularly in the US, ensures the updated training programs;
creativity and intergrational skils are important. With an American degree is promising
great future career.
14. Why do you choose to study abroad in the US, not another country ?
- Expenses,tuition fees are important . When it comes to studying abroad, England is too
high.Education system is unaffordable for me, learning in the US ensures an international
degree and this in turns helps me find a good job in VietNam.

-Ill be studying at Anaheim Discovery Christian School in California

- Once Ive got the intention to study in the US, first I surfed and researched carefully on
the internet and through many websites, especially the US Consulate. I compared and
chose the school and state that is suitable for me. Moreover, I have one friend who is
currently studying in the US recommended for me

-Yes sir/ madam. I also refered to Darlington School, Brentwood school in Los Angeles
California, Houston Community in Houston Texas
19. Why do you choose to study in this school ?
- The reason I choose to study in this school is that Anaheim Discovery Chritian School
offers affordable tuition fees and living expenses are not too high in California. The
school has good quality. Each class has only 15 students that can help teacher expose
easily and assist student closely. This school has over 30 years experience, 100% of
graduates are easily accepted into many well-known universities

- Ill study there from September 2017 to June 2019

-Ill study ESL and high school at Anaheim Discovery Christian School until 2019 then
I will study at University in four years in Business & Management. After my graduation
from University, I will comeback to VietNam

- I will study full time

- Im not allowed to work, at least during the first two years. If Im eligible for working, I
have to have a certified confirmation from my teacher ensuring my positive academic
scores and only work on campus

- Ill come to the American host familys house and attend the orientation courses at the
Anaheim Discovery Christian School before I officially starting my ESL classes

-Ill play tennis and soccer, go to the library and join some clubs and extracurricular

- I intend to arrive in the US two weeks before September 1st 2017 to prepare carefully

- I feel confident and enthusiastic to live independently . Maybe I feel a little bit
homesick now but Ill surely overcome it all

-Yes, absolutely. My mother expects me to soon complete my studying ,I have younger
sibling born in 2008 . My mother business may not prosper without my support
46. How can you prove that you will return VietNam after finishing your study in the
US ?
- Im the eldest son in my family. My mother business needs my support, with the
knowledge and experience I obtain while studying and living in the US, I must comeback
and work, live near my family. Its such a globalised world, I can work with American
companies in Vietnam

you havent finished your study yet?
- That wont happen. I may ask for the official approval from Anaheim Discovery
Christian School for temporary halting my study. Ill definitely return to school after
difficulties. I dont want to be a burden for America
50. How can you prove that your parents have enough money to support your study in the
US ?
- My mother has two large enterprises. The first is the trading business in Tuy Hoa market
and the second is the KT telecommunication and trading service. My family also has two
plots of land and has 6 saving account books over 1 billion dong. My family monthly
income is over 250 million dong

1. What is the purpose of your trip ?
- I want to begin with learning ESL before officially commencing the high school
at Anaheim Discovery Christian School. My main purpose is going to the US to
study
2. Why do you choose US to study ?
- America has the best educational system in the world and its international degree
is highly recognized in many countries. Moreover, economic in USA is increasing
rapidly and its convenient for my major in the future. America is also a multi-
cultural country so I can have a chance to experience a diversity of cultures.
Therere a lot of extra activities and sport clubs which I can join and gain more
confidence and some skills for my forthcoming future.
3. Why dont you choose another country to study ?
-England has too cold weather and the tuition fee is more expensive than the US.
Secondly, Australian degrees are incomparable to the USs degree. Thirdly, the
US has reasonable tuition fees but practically good academic quality

- Anaheim Discovery Christian School has 30 years of experience with 100% of
graduates students being admitted to big universities like the US of California or
California State Uni, each class has 15 students. Therere 99 percent of the
teachers hold advanced degree, my school has lots of extra activities like sports,
field-trip. Moreover, the tuition fee is reasonable for my earning
5. What make you choose this state to study ?
-I dont have any relatives in the US while California has lots of Vietnamese
people. Cali also has lots of well-known universities which I can apply.
Furthermore, the weather is similar to VN and it ensures my health to study.It
consists of a variety of amusement parks and entertainment places such as
Beverly Hills, Hollywood or Disneyland that I can relieve stress. There are some
Vietnamese restaurants in Cali that I cant feel homesick.

I will enrol in Anaheim Discovery Christian School for grade 11 and grade 12

I will arrive in Anaheim city in California in Orange County. Its 28 miles from Los
Angeles to the South-East. The citys population is over 300 000 exactly the same as in
my hometown. Anaheim is the 10th largest city in California and the 56th largest city in
USA

Ive researched carefully about it through many websites. Moreover,I was also
recommended by one of my friends who is currently studying in this school in california
14. How can you get the I-20/DS-160? How did you complete the admission form?
-I prepared and applied to the school. With the passport, secondary and high school
transcript, bank statement. Then I filled in DS-160, submitted and I-20 was
issued.Afterwards the information was sent to the system of US Consulate, I printed the
confirmation. I got a code and entered the website to ask for an appointment for interview
to get Visa F1

in 1985 by Mrs Carol Calharp, who believes that every child should receive a Christian

Yes I do sir. Being a student at a Christian school, discipline is among the top priorities,
wearing uniform is a part of this

In my mothers trading business at Tuy Hoa market, where my mother purchases
(both retail & whosale) pottery, aluminium and plastic utensils, three employers
work for her. As for KT Telecommunication enterprise, 5 people work for her

The one at the market earns 150 million dongs and the telecommunication
enterprise earns 180 million dongs a month

The shareholder : KT trade&service telecommunication (My mother 95% of the

I hope that wont happen. But Ill definitely get better prepared for the next interviews
when youll issue a visa for me
3. Do you have any friend in the US ? If you do have, tell me something about her/ him
Yes I do I have a couple of friends, one of whom named Tu, she s one year older than
me and shes currently studying at the same school that Ive applied for. She is also the
person recommending the school for me and she speaks highly of this
4.What difficulties do you think you may encounter in the US ?
I may feel homesick for the 1st couple of weeks and the 2nd difficulty is how to try to
study well in a next academic environment
5. Whats the most memorable event in your life ?
When I first atttend the first year of high school at the luong van chanh high school
for the gifted, my scores didnt live up to my expectations and I realized that the
teaching method is not the same as the primary and the secondary so I tried hard to
gain the better scores and I did it !
