instruct yourspectetorto read aloud what is printed and follow any instructions. Apparently, you willnot
be doing any magic and are merely assistin8yourspectator.

When you are ready, pick up yourcue cards and sit down but be carefulnotto flash the underside ofthe
stack. lfyou are right handed, hold the stack vertically with your left hand underneath - supporting the
weight. Vice versa ifyou are left handed. The blank cover card isfecing youraudience.

Transferthe flrst blank cue card to the back ofthe stack by lifting it straight up and moving it to the back.
The first opening cue card is exposed. lf your spectator has not already started, tip them to start
speaking - clearly and loud. You can find some reaction lines to say for each cue card by looking on the
reverse ofthe front advertising card. Ofcourse learn these off by heart beforehand.

Continue to move cue cards from front to back as your spectator reads the script, At one point, another
spectator willjoin you both on stage. When you get to the point where a playing card is named, keep
transferring cue cards from front to back until you see the chosen playing card on the back ofthe stack.
When you transfer the !el! front cue card to the bacl! secretly steal the chosen playing card with your
right thumb and clip it to the back of the front ue card. Hold the playing ard in place as you move the
cue card tothe backofthestack. See photos below which showthe eight ofclubs being removed.

Now you need to secretly rotate the playing card to a horizontal position so using both thumbs swivel
the playing card to landscape position. You can use the reactions of what your spectator is saying to kill
time if need be. Also you can mask this by pausing to square up the stack. The playing card should now
be at the very bottom edge of the cue cards and in the middle.

Continue to transfer cue cards from front to back but as you do so, insert the moving cue card between
the horizontal playjng card and the rearmost cue card. You mayfind the best wayto do this is by feeding
the cue card in at a slight angle. lfthis is the ase, transfer AU cue cards the same way. See photo below.

Everysingle remaihingcue card is also inserted between the playing card and rearcue card. The face of
the selected playjng card is always in yourviewthe entiretime and is never covered,
Finally when the Envelope cue card comes into view of the audience, the chosen playing card should be
directly in line with the envelope even though there are many cue cards in between. The playing ard
ends up resting against the "PLEASE GlvE ASTANDIN6 OVAT|ON" cue card. See photo below.

By Srabbing from above, remove ALL of the cue cards with your right hand EXCEpT for the Envelope cue
card. Your left thumb holds bark the playing card and you will find it automatically now rests against the
window cut out atthe back ofthe envelope. See photo below.

Place all the cue cards under your left arm pit (if you are right handed). Load the playing card into the
envelope by pushing it up with your left thumb and then down again so it is tucked inside the envelope.
see photo below.

You can use both thumbs if need be. Yourjob is done. You may find it easier to position the ball ofyour
ihumb on the playing card BUT directly in line with your little finger on the other side. This helps prevent
the card rotating slighily as you push it upwards.

Move to your on stage spectator, open the enveJope, pulloutthe card back outwards and hand itto your
spectator to reveal to the audience in dramatic fashion. You could also have your spectator remove the
playing card from the enveJope if you tease it out enough for them to grip it properly. Make sure not to
flash the back ofthe cue card which has a big cut out on the back.
As your spectator reveals the face ofthe playing card to the audience, grab the stack from under Your

there is less friction. This raises the front cue card higher and enables the right hand
