Know all men by these presents that we Harvey Cone and Susan Cone wife of said Harvey of
Farmington Oakland County in consideration of one hundred dollars [to] us paid by William Parks of
Novi in said County the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge do by these presents give, grant,
bargain, sell, and convey unto the [s]aid William Parks his heirs and assigns, a certain parcel of land,
situate in Novi Oakland County and Michigan Territory bounded and described as follows viz: the South
East quarter of the South East quarter of Section Eight in Town one North of Range Eight East in
the District of land offered for sale at Detroit Michigan Territory to contain Forty acres of land more or
less Together with all the singular and appurtenances, to the said land in any wise appertaining and
belonging: To have and to hold the above granted premises to the said William Parks his heirs and
assigns to his and their use and behoof forever: And we the said Harvey Cone and Susan Cone for us
and our heirs, executors, and administrators, do covenant with [the] said William Parks his heirs and
assigns, that we are lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises; that they are free from all
incumbrances; that we have good right to sell and convey the same to the said William Parks as
aforesaid; and that we will, and our heirs, executors, and administrators shall warrant and defend the
same to the said William Parks his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful demands of all persons.

In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty fourth day of May in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three

County of Oakland } ss. On this twenty fourth day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirty
three personally came before me L Boughton a Justice of Peace for said county the above named Harvey
Cone who acknowledged the foregoing instrument to be his free act and deed. And Susan his wife being
by me examined apart from her said husband acknowledged that she executed the same freely and
without any fear or compulsion from her said husband all which is certified by me
