Alay Pag-asa maintains its commitment to the holistic care and development of children
through a community-linked child-focused program where members and stakeholders

Founded on July 26, 1885, Asilo de San Vicente de Paul is a social service institution, it
sees itself as responsive, committed and dedicated to the noble cause of uplifting the
quality of life and well-being of poor and needy children and the youth, empowering
them to become responsible and loving citizens.
Founded in 1913, Associacion de Damas de Filipinas, Inc. is a child caring facility for
abandoned, neglected, orphaned, foundling, and dependent who are categorized as
Children in Need of Special Care whose ages are from six (6) months to six (6) years
old, whose families and relatives, or guardian cannot provide their basic, security, and
nurture needs.

5. Bahay Aruga
Bahay Aruga is a house that provides free accommodation for Pediatric Cancer patients
undergoing chemotherapy at the Philippine General Hospital which is just a few minutes
walk from the House.
Cribs run many programs, the two main being Receiving Homes and New Beginning.
Receiving Homes provides an alternative home environment for abandoned,
surrendered, neglected and dependent children aged 0-4 years old with the end goal of
permanently placing them with either their birth families, relatives or adoptive families. It
is staffed with compassionate, professional and committed caregivers 24 hours a day.
New Beginnings Program addresses the healing and recovery of sexually abused
female minors, aged 7-17 years old. Its services include home life, formal education,
adjunctive therapy, individual and group counselling, basic health services, family
counselling and after care services.
Friendship Home Fr. Luis Amig was initially established in May 1991 as a shelter for a
number of homeless and battered children.
Gentle Hands is a Christian social welfare agency meant to be on the front lines of
rescue of the medical, social, and educational needs of at risk children, working towards
healing and hope through the love of Jesus and family centered care.

12. Grace to Be Born Maternity Home and Nursery, Light of Jesus Family
Grace to Be Born Maternity Home and Nursery, a halfway house, was established in
2009 through the generous partnership of Basti and Betty Roxas-Chua who lent their
building rent-free. The place serves as a temporary shelter for unwed mothers (seeking
shelter and second chance at life) and an orphanage (a haven for the children born
there).
The Missionaries of Charity Home of Joy for the sick Children caters to special
children, those with down syndrome, hydrocephalous, and the like. When you visit
them, the nuns (Sisters of Charity) will encourage you to really be with the sick
children.
House of Refuge began when a group of fervent individuals encountered street children
who had been abandoned, neglected or maltreated by their own families.

Jesus Loves the Little Children Foundation, Inc. (JLLCFI) was established out of a deep
conviction to meet the needs of the orphaned, neglected, abandoned, and/ or abused
street children in Metro Manila.
The Laura Vicua Foundation, Inc. was organized in 1990 to build the capacities of
children in need of special protection through integral education and development. It is a
noble partnership between the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and some
distinguished lay professionals/ collaborates in the field of business, law, social welfare
and religious community. They first addressed the street children phenomenon in Metro
Manila then the sexually abused, trafficked exploited girls, the out-of-school youth, the
child laborers and those at great risk.

ANAK-Tnk presences in the world are branches of TNK Foundation. Their main mission
is to raise funds and promote the work done in Manila.
Opened in 1937, White Cross Childrens Home provides temporary care for indigent
children, ages 0 6 years old, who are suffering from tuberculosis. Today, the institution
is focusing on unwanted children, physically incapacitated parents and children whose
parents were victims of rape, incest or in the prison.
