Purpose

Use this procedure to list posted deprecation by asset for one or more posting periods.

Trigger

Perform this procedure whenever a list of posted depreciation is required for one or more assets.

Prerequisites

The asset number or numbers must be known.

The cost center must be known.
Depreciation must have been posted in the period in question.

R/O/C column in tables represents Required, Optional, or Conditional entry.

The report can be restricted to a particular asset, range of assets, cost center or range of cost
centers.

Procedure
1. Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code. The Posted Depreciation by Asset
and Posting Period screen displays.

Posted Depreciation by Asset and Posting Period

2. Click Area field .

This report can be restricted by asset number ranges or cost center ranges if needed.

3. As required, complete/review the following fields:

Field R/O/C Description

Area R
Represents the depreciation area. The depreciation area is
managed in the system as a real depreciation area (not a
derived depreciation area). Each depreciation area is set up
to handle depreciation for a particular purpose (e.g. book
depreciation, tax depreciation, group depreciation, cost-
accounting depreciation, etc.)
Example:

Fiscal Year R
The fiscal year for which this transaction is relevant.
Example:
2007

Posting Period R
The fiscal period in which a transaction in SAP will be
posted to the appropriate accounts; the period is
determined from the posting date.

5. Click Exit (Shift+F3) when you have finished reviewing the report. The Posted Depreciation
by Asset and Posting Period initial screen displays.
6. Click Exit (Shift+F3) . The SAP Easy Access screen displays.
