1) CURRENT RIG OPERATIONS AND SPECIFIC CLIENT REQUIREMENTS
Connected to P-08
6 disconnections due to weather during the month.
1 disconnection due to lifting operations on request by Petrobras.

2) PLANNED OPERATIONS / ACTIVITIES

Gangway replacement and 5-year survey in November.

3) CONTRACTUAL STATUS

On hire.

4) STATUS ON SYSTEMS / EQUIPMENT

DP Systems:
It has been reported occasional problems with the RADASCAN, the crew are able to deal with the
situation and service of the unit is planned for during the gangway replacement window.

HMS:
Service technician from Automasjon AS boarded the vessel on the 31 st of October. (No notification
to
the vessel preceded his arrival). His scope of work will be to do software upgrade of the HMS
(Helicopter Monitoring System) allowing trends to be logged and exported. As was earlier reported
it was not possible to perform this export as was discovered during the Inspection visit by the
Brazilian navy.

GE PMS, DP & Power Package:

The issues previously reported in respect of trips, partial blackouts, and load-sharing problems are
all still pending. Progress has however been made on DG-1 issues.

DG MAN Engines:

DG-1
Recent test has indicated one of two problems could be the root cause of the breaker/DG tripping.
Those are either breaker undefined position or breaker in test position. On the 30 th of October, we
found a poorly terminated wire on the SYMAP; this particular wire is an input signalling the breaker
in test position. I have myself not yet been able to determine whether the breaker-undefined
position is a cause of the breaker open/close inputs or the breaker racked in/out. 10 consecutive
tests however
raised no alarms so it can be reasonable to believe the problem now found.

DG-5 The generator has been connected to the board for several hours without any observed load
sharing issues, the root cause of the earlier issues has however not been properly explained yet.

DG-7 currently in operation but might trip during any start up, this due to previously reported AVR
issues. As of today, no feedback has forthcoming from GE.

Thrusters:
After a week in operation and with a positive yield, the HYDAC is now being transferred to
thruster-2.

Cooling medium has been replaced for thrusters 1 and 2.

Engine Room Ventilation:

Supply fan for engine room C (C1) had to be removed and sent ashore due to ground fault.
This motor was removed and had its bearings replaced as late as the 15 th of October.
Since earlier the supply fan (A2) for engine room-A has remained out of service; this might be a
problem since the outside temperature starts to raise.

1800t Cranes:
Seems to be intermittent issues with alarms from cable reel 2 on the aft Huisman crane.

40T Cranes:
Repair works are still ongoing on the brake for SB 40t crane, latest news it will shortly be re fitted
and tested.
Accommodation Elevator:
The accommodation elevator is now out of service (G.U.E 79). Mr. Elevator planned to board the
vessel in early November to replace the Inverter.

Gangway:
Running with half pump capacity as of now. The failed pump removed but still kept on board as of
now.

Calibration done on slewing sensor B, (DP), Sensor A will also need to be recalibrated in order to be
able to select the gangway as a reference in the DP system.

Service air compressor-2:

Unit is still out of order, parts on order.

MGPS:
3 out of 4 units still out of service.
Parts have reportedly arrived on board and are currently being unloaded from the containers.

Galley:
Both tilting kettles are now out of order, the replacement units was not deemed suitable for use on
board. New kettles have reportedly been ordered from Europe.

Repair of flooring in alleyway near the camp boss office is in progress.
