    Honors PreCalculus - Performance Task

    iMovie: Solving Real-Life Problems with Matrices

    Project Description
    Students will extend their knowledge of matrix operations to solve a real world problem and preparing
    an iMovie tutorial.

    Instructions
    With your group, decide which of the 6 problems you wish to solve (see website). No two
    groups may work on the same problem.
    Work through the solution as a group. Then discuss plans to create a video tutorial in which you
    carefully instruct the viewer how to solve the selected problem.

    Specifications: video must include the following:


    A title with credits for every member of the group.

    Clear narration of the entire solution (you may use as many narrators as you wish). Feel free to
    include a soundtrack where applicable.

    All diagrams and matrices should look professional and not drawn or sketched.

    Transitions between scenes should be smooth.

    Use appropriate mathematical vocabulary.

    This is a tutorial, not a comedy show. Keep extraneous material out of the presentation.

    Length: 3-5 minutes.

    Assessment
    Your assessment will be graded according to the rubric provided.
