Meaning to say the manner of serving or extending help to others without asking in return, setting for any conditions or imposing rules. The spirit of St. Vincent de Paul lives in any Vincentian institution because like Vincent it inspires us to do good thing for others simultaneously extending ourselves to be of instrument of letting other people to do good will for those people in the same situation.
2. ITS THE POOR WHO MAKE YOU A VINCENTIAN. A Vatican church
says, Blessed be the poor for the Kingdom of God is designed for them. Just the same let us thank poor people for without them we have no way of experiencing of what is to be like of Vincent who never get tired of serving others. Without poor we have no way of discovering the goodness that lives in our heart and for without them we have no way of reforming ourselves for the greater glory of God.
3. SEE TO YOUR NEED FIRST. As a minister of St. Vincent de Paul:
You cant lead if you are mislead; You cant share the teachings of God if you dont know God; You cant give love if hatred houses in your heart; You cant inspire if you are frustrated; You cant encourage if you almost give up. So, as St. Vincent de Paul and Fr. Dennis Holtsneider said, seek to your needs first, and by the moment that you are ready, never get tired of doing good things. 4. ITS NOT OVER TILL ITS OVER. GO THEN THEORY of Fr. Dennis Holtsneider help us to realize that there is so much of serving the people. You are doing poor people a favor and without knowing it, in return it falls back multiple times of favor for the development and enrichment of our spiritual being.
5. WE FORM EACH OTHER. St. Vincent doesn't offer us spirituality, a
teaching on prayer or the spiritual life. He offers us a Spiritual Way. He shows us how we can meet our God in everyday experiences, in the events, the persons, the circumstances of our life. His Way is the way of the Church, a way of experience, of faith, of practical wisdom.... all embraced in a spirit of love. A Way of Mission Vincent responded to God's love and call, and saw himself and his followers as being sent also 'to bring good news to the poor.' Touching the lives of others and helping them is one of the teachings of the Vatican church. However, some Catholics dont even put that into practice. They merely said that, I cannot give what I dont have, an excuse for most people not to extend any help to others. But according to Vincent, even the poorest of the poor can give something to those who are in need. Helping people doesnt only exist by giving alms. Rather, dont give them fish; instead teach them how to catch a fish. We are living in a world where there are lots of demands in society, coincided with pressure of achieving ideal religious universe. It is needless to say that we cannot avoid these things; they are the two facets of the world that are not invisible to our naked eye. It hardly seems to understand but we can conclude that without faith we cannot appear as the intelligent human beings. We have to associate holiness and our religious perspective with societal interaction. We have to treat the two facets of the world in parallel outlook. For a good example, steer businesses by a value directed compass. Indeed, our own mission is to share, give and inspire other people so that the teachings of St. Vincent de Paul will always live not only here in USI but for all as well.
